I found that with my children all I had to give them were prunes and they'd be fine in a day or so.

Make sure the baby is getting enough fruit, juice and cereal (oatmeal works well). If the baby is still constipated try just a small glass of prune juice. Use whole wheat breads.

Nothing is worse than a baby that can't go. :( We offered lots of juice, fruit high in water content, watermelon, cantaloupe, to help keep things moving, but if they go constipated we used prune juice, if that didn't work, then glycerin suppositories in child size. The last is not pleasant for either of you, but it will work and then you can make sure that plenty of fluids and fruit get into baby. Sorry your little one is not having a pleasant night.

i'm having the comparable concern. i does not do the internet over the precise like redheaded mentioned. If the area caught fireplace he'd have extra of of challenge with the door locked than with being constrained to his mattress in basic terms. i've got seen the locking door approach too yet purely don't sense risk-free with it in case of a fireplace yet once you probably did % to try this i relatively doubt baby amenities might say something approximately it. parents lock their young toddlers of their rooms as a self-discipline continuously. I easily have a 6 month previous and concern my infant getting interior the mattress with him and hurting him to boot. My plans are to start up lowering nap time so he sleeps extra effective at night and to arise approximately an hour till now he does interior the morning so there is no time for him to start up adventuring while he wakes. wish this facilitates!

Sugar water: boil some water and pour 6 ounces in a bottle/cup with a teaspoon of sugar. Mix it and then let it cool to room temp. It worked great for my daughter.

Pedialyte brand Popsicles. My ex-girlfriends kid got constipated a couple times when her and I were together, and the popsicles were GREAT!! He loved them, and they loosened him up fairly quick too!!
To be honest, they are pretty good too. I tried them and had a couple as well!!! LoL
Edit: To the person who gave me a thumbs down, do you have any idea what you are talking about? Pedialyte is to REHYDRATE kids. Rehydration is the cure to Constipation!!!

Lots of things work, but the easiest for us was prune juice, or prunes. Worked every time, and prunes are so sweet my little one always loved them.
She still asks me to buy them when we go to the store.

Doctors have told me pear juice, or apple juice.
Having the child sit and a warm bath will also help relax the muscles allowing him/her to go.
