My 3 year old daughter is determined to not eat "fresh" meat. She will eat fast food meat, but we get fast food maybe once every few months. I make fish, chicken, steak, things like that and she will not eat them at all. How do I get her to eat this stuff so she gets the protein she needs?

My son goes to preschool several mornings each week. There is another little boy in the class who has pushed or hit my son several times. Once he threw a rock and it hit my son on the spine of his back and left a bruise. My son isn't the only one that he plays rough with. The teacher mentioned an incident to me one day and said that she had talked with the boy (he had a time out). She encouraged my son to use his "loud voice" after his "polite voice" didn't work. Later, my husband worked with my son on practicing using his loud voice to say "No!, I don't like that!" so that others wouldn't bully him in the future. My husband also encouraged my son to hit back to defend himself if another kid tried to push him or hit him. They are only 4 years old. Is this the right thing to do?

My son has been going to the same sitter for about 6 months now and lately he's been crying when I leave him. Before he was very comfortable staying and the last month he's changed. I'm in school and last semester he went everyday and now he only goes 3 days a week. When I tell him he's going to the sitters he starts crying. When we get to the sitters he asks for his sisters. Is this just a form of separation anxiety or does he really not like his sitter?

My girls will be two and three next month and now is the time I usually start taking them for walks daily. Is three years old too old to be in a stroller?

I don't know if such a product exists, but I am looking for a lightweight stroller that can support a toddler up to about 50 pounds and fold easily and compact.

I also need air-pumped tires for a smooth ride. I hate the cheapy wheels that slam into bumps and cracks instead of rolling over them! It's more for mall-crawling, so jogging strollers aren't really what I need here.

And would it be too much to ask for a reasonable price as well?

What do you feed your toddler for breakfast, lunch, dinner? any suggessted menu, please...! My toddler just like to eat some certain food, and she doesn't want to try new food, like vegies, is there period that she won't eat much? and how much food a day you think is enough for a toddler? I always worry that she doesn't eat enough. Also I stil can't swicht her into ordinary milk. I still have to give her warm milk (powder milk) in a bottle, it's so hard to give her normal milk in a sippy cup...she is a healthy little girl, but i just worry that she won't get enough nutrition as she doesn't eat much of real food. I just don't know what to cook for her, and even if i try to cook something for her she won't eat...what can I do?

My 1 1/2 year old son has not said any words at all. On an occasion he might say dada or sit, but for the most part he hasn't said any words. Should I be worried? He will be 2 this May and I have been reading and saying words to get him to talk, but nothing works. What should I do?

I love my little girl dearly but lately she's been more attached to me than ever.when i get home from work i spend time with her then i get dinner started, she follows me all over the house and doesn't leave my side. and if I'm on the computer or watching tv later on,she's insistent on sitting on my lap, laying on me or sitting right next to me.i try to accomodate her as much as possible because i'm sure she missed me,but sometimes i get frustrated and end up pushing her away because I feel like i need some time for myself.she then has the biggest fit and i end up feeling so guilty.how do i get some space without pushing my daughter away making her feel rejected? Also she's been extra clingy for the past two weeks since my mom has passed. do you think she senses i'm grieving? she probably does even though i don't grieve in front of her. i try to send her to my husband but she wants me..what can i do?please help.thanks

We recently requested that our 2 year old be tested by the public school system - for entrance into preschool. He is verbally delayed, and may require 'special ed" services. Among the info they requested was his hemoglobin levels. Any idea why? Best I found was that you can determine anemia (iron deficiency) from hemoglobin levels, but how is that related to preschool testing? Is it legal for the school system to demand this information?

I just made a drs. appt for my nephew's 15 month well child and immunizations. He has an older brother, soon to be 2 and a half. While I was on the phone the nurse went ahead and made the appt for the 2 and a half year old as well. I was under the impression that the next well child visit would be at age 3, not 2 and a half. But when I asked the nurse about it she said since the children have Medicaid they are required to have a well child check-up at 2 and a half. He is not behind on visits or shots. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm not at all complaining, but just more curious if this is something new.

MY daughter is 25months old and sucks the ring and middle fingers of her left hand. I took her for her 2 year checkup and the doctor said that it would be a good idea to get her to stop because it was starting to effect the development of her teeth.
Anyone have any good ideas on getting her to stop? I know that she doest this to comfort herself. Thanks! any ideas would be greatly apprecatied!

Where to start...
Our girl is now 3yrs. She was extremely pre-term, being born at 25wks gest instead of term at 40wks.
She has had major probs from birth, from hernias, heart ducts, breathing issues, all this due to being prem.
She is now over these hurdles, excluding the whole holes to her heart.
She is currently in day care X2 whole days a week (just started), an in kindy X2 days for 3hrs.
She is extremely active from time she wakes till time she goes to bed.
Not much sugar intake (as I am diabetic).
She is starting to get very aggresive, and tempermental.
Wanting her own way all the time, if not on comes the water works or tantrums (for hrs).
She does have a younger brother (aged 1yr).
She does show any jealously signs of him. She loves to play with him, looks out him asking him if he is alright. (very cute to see and hear).
I have had her checked for diabetes, results have come back clear.
Can anyone please give advise or suggestion how to get some control back with her
