I used the spill free sippy cups that had a straw and that was better because she just sucked on it and it was easier for her than the regular sippy cups. Try Walmart or KMart they both had great selections.

Sippy cups vary a lot on how easy it is to get the liquid out (try one yourself - some of them are darn near impossible to drink from!) Kids have preferences and some never like sippies at all.

You might try Gerber's two-handled starter sippy that has a soft rubber spout instead of a hard plastic one -it's a bit easier to use.

Try taking the stopper out of the sippy cup so when she drinks it the liquid comes out easier rather than her figuring she has to suck on it for her to get anything. That's how we started off our toddler on a sippy cup.

She may not like it because the milk does not come out fast enough. Try putting a regular cup up to her mouth and see if she likes that better...or cut a slit in her sippy cup lid where the milk comes out so that it will come out a little faster...and she does not need to suck so hard. Ever tried drinking from one? It is not easy.

This was a difficult hurdle for me as well. What I had to do with my son (now two and drinks from a regular cup) was take out the valve so whatever he was drinking could flow easily. I was right there the whole time so I could try to prevent big messes but that was the only way I could get him to understand he was supposed to drink from it. Once he got the concept I put the valve back in. I did have to go back and forth with the valve but he got it after a little effort on both of our parts. Good luck!

Try removing the valve (stopper) and offer her a sip. Once she understands that she can get something from it she will be more likely to give it a try. Once she gets the hang of it you can add the valve so it is less messy. I also found the Nubby cups helpful. It is softer and liquid will come out easier. I would start with water at first or even juice.

Try one of those sippy cups that are more bottle-like first (worked with my kid) - It is called NUBY (You'll see it if you google it) ... Once he had the hang of that... I moved to the ones with the harder sip part. I think it was a smoother transition for him that way.

she might not like the feel of the sippy cup. Try a real cup
it will be messy but who knows.

she might not want it cuz if she can drink forma bottle and sucks she knows how to suck on the sippy, maybe it is one you have to suck really hard on and she cant get anything out off
