my daughter is 2 and loves getting a shower. She can't wash herself yet but she tries. either me or my husband are in the bathroom with her at all times when she is in the shower. My 7 year old son has been getting showers by himself now for about 2 years.

I would say around 5 or 6 they could get a shower that is kinda supervised. By 7 they should know how to wash and what to wash but may still need a bit of help from Mommy or Daddy!

My daughter has been showering since she was almost 4. I would stay in the bathroom, on the floor right next to it, so I could help if needed. Then id wash her hair, and help her dry, At 5 I was sitting on the stool waiting, then would wash her hair, and help dry.

She is now 6. I stay close by to the bathroom but not in there with her. I go in as she is finishing she washes her own hair, I check to make sure all the soap is out, and put her tangle cream in, I still start the water for her, just to make sure its not to hot, I'm guessing by next year she will be shutting the door saying " privacy please mother " lol

My 5 year old has been showering alone since she was about 3 1/2 now then I washed her hair, but that only lasted about 1 year now she does it all alone and sings and dances. It is SOOO cute.

My 6 year old STEP DAUGHTER....NOPE she can't even bathe in the tub with out assistance...

So it is all about how you raise them.

Im confused here - do u mean how to shower indepentently?

If thats the case, by example is the best way - let them in the shower with you and if they are old enough to ask for one alone, just check the water temperature before you let them in there and keep an eye on them in case they slip and to make sure they rinse their hair and wash properly....

If your asking something else....I got no idea!

my daughter is almost 4 and she took her 1st shower the other day. She was so proud of herself! She only needed help washing her hair, and needed guidance on where to wash.

About 5 or 6. Make sure they are taught how to wash their hair correctly and where to wash. Its also a good idea to train them to brush their teeth when they are done too.

4. it depends on how you teach them. Let me do it alone but check on them and make sure they cover all the parts.
