How much sleep should my 19 month old be getting? Just recently, she has stopped taking naps during the day but she sleeps 12 hours at night. Is that ok or should I try to get her back into the habit of taking naps?
I didn't plan on her to stop taking naps. She just got into this routine all by herself.

My son did exactly the same thing at the same age. I used to try really hard to get him to have a sleep but it never worked and then after a while i got used to it and began to realise that he is going to bed earlier at night, so i get adult time at night which is much nicer!!! Don't worry if people tell you your child has to have a sleep during the day - each child is different and it may just be a stage. My son is now almost three and still doesn't need a sleep during the day!!!! Even after a big morning my son won't even fall asleep in the car which tells me that he doesn't need it!!!

Thats around the time all my kids (3 of them) stopped taking naps. I find it's a pain to try to make someone sleep when they dont want to. Somedays I would just make them go play a quiet game in their room for a little while just to give them the down time and every once in awhile they would fall asleep.
