You don't HAVE to breast feed him past a year for health benefits, but just to let you know, I did breast feed my daughter until she was 22 months and would have continued had I not been 41 and in need of a mammogram. this relies upon on the youngster and the mum and their difficulty. Breastfeeding isn't a sexual element. It facilitates the immune gadget and may be convenience for a toddler. Breastfeeding does not intervene with the youngster's progression. I weaned at 6 months. My son mandatory greater advantageous than i ought to offer. i latterly study that Gwen Stefani substitute into nevertheless bf and her son is over 18 mo. If I have been waiting to, i might have bf till a minimum of one 12 months, which it the main cautioned minimum time-physique. If my toddler had psychological or actual handicaps or some sort of immune ailment or ailment, i'm useful it could have been a lot longer. Breastfeeding is demanding artwork (or it substitute into for me), so i don't see somebody persevering with devoid of severe theory. Is your buddy useful the youngster substitute into 6? I even have a chum whose toddler is very almost 4 and might definitely bypass for six. To me, the great element is that the mum substitute into discreet. There ought to be a great number of motives she continues to be breastfeeding.

Nurse him for as long as its mutually beneficial. If hes happy with it and youre happy with it, continue for as long as possible.

The world health organization reccomends nursing for AT LEAST 2 years... but that is a reccomendation. Do what works for you and your son.

And breastmilk is FAR supperior to cows milk... think of it as a living substance that is created exactly to meet your particular childs needs... kind of like a comfort tool and a multi-vitamin all mixed into one!

I myself am quite baffled, my gal's 26 months old and still refuses to stop..she's already eating solid food; rice etc since she was 1 year old and also on formula milk.

The paediatrician did say she's too old to still be breastfeeding but i think if the child wants to breasfeed and there's still milk, why not? One of my gfs told me her mom breasfed her til she was 6!

Plus side, she's smarter than my boy who breastfed for only 4months, she's very close to me and of coz, i get to eat what i want and not get fat :)
