I know in my heart as a mother this is happening. She not even two years old and has large bruises on her butt that I know could not be from falling. Her mother is known to have a temper and to spank her too hard, and her boyfriend is just as bad and worse with his temper and discpline.
But, what if I call it in and mom says her child fell?

I have a 1 yr old daughter she is rather i guess you could call it curious she gets into trouble alot but i don't think she really knows that she is doing something wrong. when she is doing something bad or wrong i tell her no and she stops if she continues to do it i tell her no louder than if she still does it i smack her hand and tell her no; that usually stops her. We were in wal*mart the other day and she kept throwing stuff out of the cart i had told her no and to stop several times so she did it again and i smacked her hand and she started throwing a tantrum. A women who had 4 kids came up to me and told me that i was abusing my daughter i looked at her and asked her if she had kids and she said "i have 4" i asked her where her kids where and she said they were in the store somewhere. I told her to go find her kids and stop telling me how to raise mine. she went and called social services on me telling them i was an unfit mother. Her kids were dirty and barefoot and i'm unfit?

She used to be an excellent eater and seemed to enjoy food a lot, then this all changed about a month ago, she would spit out food and not show any interest in it. I know that some of her bigger teeth were coming in, but they look okay now......
Please help.

I was playing with my beautiful one-year-old daughter in the back garden. I was doing that thing where you only hold her hands and spin her around and around quite fast. She loves it and she always giggles which is nice to hear.

Unfortunately, I was doing this today and I accidentally left go (as I had sweaty hands) and she flew over two garden fences.

She's fine apart from a dirty nappy but my finger really hurts.

Please help! I will be most grateful! Thank you in advance.

it's not a behaviour thing and only ever does it when he's hurt of really upset and has never done this when he's being naughty.

I'm pregnant with my second child, due in a month actually.

For the past few months, my daughter has had "babies in her tummy." She mimics me by rubbing her tummy, saying that things are good for her baby, etc. She'll even say that she is having two babies, a boy and a girl, and their names.

From talking to other moms, this seems fairly normal, and that isn't what concerns me. What I'm worried about is what is going to happen when she doesn't have her babies. My daughter is a drama queen and I'm worried that this could become a big problem.

Will this just fizzle out on its own after her brother arrives? Is there anything I can do to help the situation?

my daughter is 2 1/2. she takes her clothes and diaper off when she goes to the bathroom. she knows how to completely operate a toilet. the usually tells me when she goes to the bathroom, etc....she's ready. but she refuses to go in the potty. its really starting to get to me. she just simply won't go to the potty. i have her sit on it every hour / hour in a half. i ask her if she needs to go potty frequently also. even if her potty is right next to her when she has to go she would rather pee all over herself then sit on it (she wears plastic panties).
can someone please give me some advice? i would greatly appreciate it!

Potty training has NOT been a breeze for me with my almost-three-year-old. She understand the entrire concept, talks about it all the time, repeats what we say to her (i.e. - "don't go peepee on daddy's floor!") - BUT ultimately - she'll still stand in the middle of a room and go pee. Tried:
reward system, making it a fun game, punishing, going to the toilet every 45-60 minutes to 'try' (which she hates doing). . .
Everyone says "don't rush her and she'll be ready on her own" but meanwhile I'm paying for two kids in diapers and she keeps talking about how nasty it is to go in a diaper and crys as soon as she goes on herself! Any NEW suggestions? ?

my 2 year old daughter is all about "big girl" things now. She used to be such a great sleeper, but she fights us about going to bed because she asks for "big girl bed" or mommy's big girl bed". Is she ready? We also have our 11 month daughter in the same room with her and they love one another. But I am afraid moving her into a toddler bed might be a huge adjustment for her.

My 18 mo. old poops every time she's in the tub. I bathe her in the morning, after breakfast, because baths tend to wake her up instead of make her sleepy even with using lavendar calming bath wash. She can have a good BM before she goes into the tub and she still poops in there. Thankfully, it's her infant tub so clean up isn't too bad. It's just really annoying as I usually have to give her two baths or bathe her quickly to avoid this. She, too, gets agitated since she wants to play in there after she's all washed up. Any suggestions??

School has no record of him doing that during the day. He has no fever just a runny nose which is possibly flu cause ive got flu. On off he was whining but still playing but when bedtime came he started crying non stop. What could it be, what can i do? Ive given Calpol, and also some tissue salts..... I've been a stay at home mom to my daughter since she was born. She's 13 months now & I've loved every minute with her. We spend so much time playing, go to gymboree, playgroups, etc. Now in lieu of a possible pending divorce I'm looking for a full-time job - and actually have an interview which I didn't expect to happen so soon. I'm already dreading the day I have to leave her and don't know how I'll cope & on top of it be functional and professional learning a new job. Any coping techniques?

I have a two and a half year old son, and I've been hearing from people that if I have interest in exploring schools outside of our district, or even not in the public circuit, I should start now....is now too soon? He's a July baby, so he'd probably start Kindergarten the month after he turns 5.

My son will be 3 in march...He wears underwear everyday and pees in the toliet when he needs to but he refuses to poop. He will go long periods of time with out pooping. The last time he pooped he had waited so long that I had to give him an enima because it was so large and he could not get it out...I have tried reading to him, going potty with him, showing him how it works...Nothing is working.
