Is there a specific condition that would require older children to contiue formula? Why would this product be necessary?

Marketing agencies want to make more money. Actually, as long as your child is healthy and at a good weight, you don't need to continue formula after 12 or 15 months. I wouldn't fret about it. When I talked to the doc about it, she said it really is so the formula companies can compete with the dairy farmers and that there's not much necessary nutritional value that a toddler is getting from the formula.

Preferance. Some parents choose to continue with formula and Nestle decided to make a product available to those who prefer it.
Keep in mind some children don't transition that well into milk and parents want to be able to ween them off it.

My best friends son is allergic to Milk and even tho he is almost a year and a half she still has to keep him on formula or pay the high price of Soy Milk. I think if a child doesn't tolerate milk too well and Soy isn't an option then you can stay with formula...like Goodstart

The specific condition is called mommy. If mom decides the child should stay on formula he does. Some people want to keep their small ones babies for longer and so keep them on baby things.

my doctor told me it was a way for nestle to make money. She said to just put my son on homo milk it is all he needs.
