Our 3.5 year old is not taking naps anymore, and he sleeps anywhere from 10 to 12 hours a night. The 12 hour nights are during a growth spurt when he eats like pig. Our son is VERY active and I make sure to wear him out as best I can every day. Mental and physical activities to be sure he sleeps long and hard.

I asked my GP this question about my 3.5 year old. He goes to bed at about 9:00 pm and gets up at about 6:30 am. He may or may not have a nap during the day, depending on how busy his day was and what we have planned for the evening. So, 9 - 12 hours?

My GP also said that she keeps her 3.5 year old on the same schedule bed at 9:00p up at about 6:30a.

As long as they stay in bed.

My 3.5 year old son goes to bed at 8 and wakes up around 8.

Not a problem.

They need their sleep.
