Your child is well within the expected range for normal speech development. Kids who have only a few words will try to imitate the length of the speech model's utterances, and they will fill in the blanks with jargon. So, relax; the kid is perfectly normal.

You have nothing to be concerned about. By 18 months most kids only have a vocabulary of only 4-5 words. Let him talk in the gibberish and then say whatever you think he is trying to say in the correct way. For example, my son would point at things and say gibberish. I would point at it and say the word correctly. Eventually, he would say the word right. It took him a long to time to say things right as his 3 older siblings did everything for him. This is a natural progression for speech. If you continued to be concerned about his speech development, talk with his pediatrician.

That is normal. Most children at that age have an extremely limited vocabulary (hell, I am 41 and I STILL talk jibberish sometimes). Just talk normally to your child. Trust me...at some point you'll look at them and wonder why they won't stop talking...especially if you have a little girl.

because he/she is 15 months old. your child is speaking a little bit, so you shouldn't worry about anything being medically wrong.

kids will develop speech at their own pace. just because one child speaks clearly at 15 mos doesn't mean your child will. i know a little girl who didn't speak until she was 3. when she did start talking, she talked in sentences.
