How old is your son? Does he want to feed himself?
If so put small bite size pieces and see if this helps.

How old is he? Does he have any diagnosis? What are you feeding him? How often does he eat? What does he eat? Does food make him gag? Does he have prefered foods?

Do you see how vague this is? We have no idea what's going on with your son. If there is nothing wrong with him, stop feeding him and just put food out. He'll eat when he's hungry. If he wants to eat and it bothers him, you should check with a specialist, either a dietician or behavioralist that specializes in eating disorders.

From a private email I hear that he's two years old, and screams just when the food is presented. If that helps anyone else come up with an idea. I stick by my original statement, just leave a plate out, start eating yourself. he'll come up to eat when he's hungry UNLESS HE HAS A DISABILITY. Some kids cannot eat. IF that is the case, you'll need a specialist, not a pediatrician. If he becomes weak and lethargic, then it's a problem
