My son is 2 years old and loves his crib. He does not climb out, and he still fits. When should we transition him to a regular bed? We bought a toddler bed a while back, but if he stays in his crib long enough he may go right to a twin size. When did you do it and how?? Advice Please!

Also, he snuggles up on top of his pillow on one end of the crib (against the side rails) every time he goes to sleep. How can I break him of this habit? He will no doubt fall out of a real bed if he does this! The toddler bed has no side rails because it is one of those race car ones.

I bought it at walmart. It has a little white lamb's head on the corner. On one side of the square blankey is all fleece yellow, on the other side it spells out LAMB in block letters. It got lost a little while ago and I've been searching to replace it. No luck yet...unless someone out there in "yahoo world" can help. Thanks, mydilts

what can I do to get him to use the toilet. He doesnt take his diaper off to go to the bathroom I usually have to help him with that then he just sits there on the toilet and after about a minute he takes a piece of toilet paper and wipes and then throws it in the toilet and flushes then runs out of the bathroom. Am I doing this right, ( I am a single mom with a fiancee that just moved in) His dad does watch him but still treats him like hes 6 months old. Please help me.

I'm going crazy! He's teething and has a little cold, which is common with him along with teething, but he does not want to touch his "real" food anymore, he will only eat certain cookies, or cereals that he can pick up and feed himself, me feeding him from a spoon is just not an option anymore. He has been eating table food since he was about 8 months old and he's loved it. The most important thing about this is that he needs veggies! How can I get him to eat them?

I am 21 years old a mom of 2.My grandma comes up to vist each sat. well She is the type of person she has to know everything about what is going on in your life so she can go tell everyone. She hates my boyfriend who works and helps me clean the house. As soon as she comes into my house she heads for ny childrens room to see if they are clean. She tries to snoop every wheres . When you are driving with her is the worst. She will call people in other car names and yell and scream. i have told her several times i dont want to here about other people i dont know or my uncle and aunt who basicly have nothing to do with. She still continues to do so.I have told her how i felt it goes in one ear and out the other. It is getting to be a real big problem. She also told my 4 year old daughter that she is going to tell santa that she don't mind she don't pick her mess up and she screams and for

After children can wash themselves, should parents be touching their children's bottoms at all(patting, rubbing, smacking, hitting, tickling,etc.)-unless it's some rare emergency? Why are children's bodies subjected to adult touching without request, and many times AGAINST their request-and yet this is criminal once you are over 18?

Any time i ask my son anything whether its would you like cereal or toast, or,clean up your toys, he screams " no mum" then runs to his room, slams the door shut, screams and cries and throws himself around, then 5 minutes later he comes back out in the foulest mood. I have tried everything. I have caught him before he gets to his room and talked to him. All i get is screams. I have given him time out before he has reached his room. I have put him back in his room after a tantrum and all he does is sulk. I have also ignored the tantrum completely as though it didnt happen. He has been doing it for the last 6 months. The doctor says he is healthy physically emotionally and developmentally. If this goes on i am going to end up using physical punishment. Help anybody have any suggestions?

I have two sons(3&4) who currently are in a nice christian daycare,I have no problems with the daycare other than the fact that I dont feel that they are getting the best education, but it was all we could afford, now we are bringing in higher salaries and can afford to pay more in childcare.I went and visited a few other daycars and fell in love with a kindercare,I love everything about it,from their teaching techniques down to their security..the problem is that once I gave my current daycare our 2 week notice, she basically begged my not to switch them..I felt so bad for her and guilty..she really is nice and did do us a favor by giving us a realy good discount for the kids.By switching them I dont wanna seem ungrateful, but I also want whats best for my children...

I'm having kind of problem with my son who seems to be afraid or just too shy with other people. He clings to me like velcro whenever we visit my in-laws,but I'm not having this kind of problem whenever we visit my parents.my in-laws tends to teaSE him constantly but when I tell him he's not in the mood they stop but still, our son seems to distant himself.I try to expose him to other people,I also notice that he has hard time expressing himself,he converse with us in english and not in our native tongue although and I think he is having a hard time absorbing everything because he's bi-lingual (not intentionally) he learned english from watching children show but I talk to him in our native tongue.I don't see anything wrong with his development just his behavior with my in laws.I need suggest on how to develop his behavior and about his ability to express his feelings

Please note I am not stating my own position in this question. I just wanted to hear if there are any valid responses to the above phrase in reference to hitting children. Thank you for your (polite) reply.
