well there must be a reason behind it. is there someone at daycare that is influencing this bad behavior....other children, maybe he doesn't like the teacher? your best option is for you to ask him why he is behaving badly at daycare. is the daycare punishing him with timeouts also? you can't punish him when he gets home for something that he did early in the morning at daycare. hope this helps!

Define 'acting up'? What does the day care setting say? You need to work together with the setting so your child cannot play off home against day care setting.

Bribing with toys is not the answer. The carer needs to show displeasure and withdraw attention form the child. If he is actually hurting others, focus the attention on the 'victim'. A reward chart may help that he can build up points for a special treat at the end - maybe a day out with his parent to the zoo or whatever or, on a smaller scale, to 'win back' a favourite game, telly programme or toy that has been removed. Don't give up.

What is he doing? What do they consider "acting up". Is this a home run or center type of care? Is he bored there, just being a boy, or is someone picking on him (and not being observed doing it)and he is just defending himself. Find out Both sides of the story, thr truth will lie somewhere in the middle. Work with both sides for a good outcome.

Our son was in a gym boree type play group...parents included in the hour! He just didn't like it there...He was the biggest kid, and he got bored easily! They did the same thing EVERY week and he just started to act up ...only when he went!

If he's acting up all the time...time to give up on the time outs and spank his little bum!! It hurts YOUR hand more than his meaty little butt!

you have to explain to him atart taking things awya and make sure you are giving enough attention at home and they are not ignoreing him at the daycare because that could cause problems and craving about attention

Ask him what is the matter. If he replies in a bad way see if you can fix it. If not start giving him punishments like spankings and that kind of stuff.

He probably is just bored and wants the attention that they probably aren't giving him.
