my niece is 17 months, and since like 1 year she has grown out of the car seat, but yet the laws says you cant change the seat backwards to forwards yet. (well she has grown out of most things since 6 months, she is a very tall baby, but thats cuz her parents are tall), she is just starting to get moving with walking on her own feet so thats good, she cant fully talk yet but when she does it will be in sentences. some cars are differnt. my mom has a lexus, and it looks like my niece is over grown the car seat for a long time now. but if you look in my sister's van, its a big difference, my niece looks like she can fit in the car seat going backwards... so it all depends on the car, and how the car seat fits. also when people make these things, they go on the average of sizes. for example. when i was growing up, i was able to sit in the front seat, even tho i was to young but i was tall enough, i was taller than a grown up, so it was cool that i susualy got the front seat.

Toboggans are nice for kids and they should be able both fit on one. They sit on the snow so if the kids "fall" off, they don't fall far. They are fairly easy to pull around on flat ground so you don't have to send the kids down a hill for them to have fun. You can get them in plenty of places including online at LL Bean and Sleds.com. They should both be able to fit for a few years too.
