Toddler & Preschooler - December 2006

I'm having trouble potty training my 2 yr old. Sometimes she will go...and other times she refuses to use the toilet. Any suggestions?

I have 3 kids, My youngest has the stomach flu, I was upstairs getting him changed and into bed for a nap.. When I came downstairs My middle child had mixed the can of formula with a can of coffee grounds.... ahhhhh. So the punishment went and a couple hours later i found him in the bathroom, spreading vaseline all over the sink... I love my kids dearly, but I am home alone and about to go crazy. Is the day almost over :):):):)

My daughter is 16 months old and has been sick and on antibiotics since the first of November. Currently, she has bronchitis & a double ear infection. He changed the antibiotics & after two days, she has this HORRIBLE diaper rash. Worse than she's ever had before. Its puffy, red and looks like a burn. Some spots looks like the skin has peeled away or just looks like its raw. She cries & cries. I've been giving her a warm bath with baking soda and I think it soothes her for a little while. I've also been alternating tylenol & motrin, using balmex and changing her frequently. Its also hard since she has diarrhea. Any solutions? Should I call the doctor tomorrow if it doesn't get better? Please help!

My 4 year old daughter is very strong willed and stubborn. It does not matter what I say or ask her to do, she will always argue with me. If I say the sky is blue, she will say it is yellow. No joke. I have tried everything from explanations, praising when she doesn't argue (which hardly ever happens), disciplining, etc. I don't know what else to try. It is starting to affect my confidence in my parenting skills. What can I do to minimize this behavior?

while sleeping on the carpet, my 12 year old neice peed herself, i hae sprayed the area with bugs away (anti bacterial spray) and also mr muscle carpet cleaner and soaked it with water, i still cannot get rid of the smell. how do i get rid of this smell?

Example: I tell him to go to the bathroom and get his toothbrush. He knows how to do this but he continues to sit on the floor and play. If I stand him up, he just stands there in spite of telling him repeatedly to go to the bathroom. What is wrong with this child?

Well, i watch my little 4 year old sister almost evrey night and shes a spoild brat that don't listen. My grandma {she lives with us} spoils her and gives her everything she wants and she thinks that i am going to spoil her too and im not. Im 15 years old and i dont know how to deal with my little sister not doing what shes told. She hits me, she yells at me. Its out of control. I get in trouble by both my grandma and my mom if i whoop her because they dont beleive in it.. Any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!

My daughters 3 and i got her ears peirced last saturday and one of them is bent really bad...i cant even get the earing off my husband and i both tried and all were doing is irratating it...its just going to have to be cut off....my question is i paid 45 dollers for those theres supposed to be 24 k gold...and they bent within a week...will Claires replace the one that is bent or not? i think they should since its only been a week?

I met my step son when he was 5 and his father warned me he was still having problems getting him to stop pooping in his pants. they finally took him to a Dr. the Dr. said nothing was wrong with him physically and then they did counsiling and that didn't work either. he is still, at 15 poops his pants. what the heck do you do??

my 2 and a half year old likes to drink 3 cups of milk a day. I used to give him two cups of milk and one cup of soy milk- once every morning, evening and night. I notice that he gets a cold often, and when i stop the cow's milk, he's ok. Is it ok to give him 3 cups of soy milk everyday, or is it too much?
