Stay at home mom of a 2 yr old and a almost 4yr old. Do u ever get tired n frustrated at the endless noise, chatter n gazillion questions from ur kids? So much so, that u go into the bathroom hoping for a few minutes peace? I "escaped" just now and then yelled at 4 yr old to leave me alone for a "few damn minutes" after he came knocking twice (nothing important). To make matters worse, my husband works too much and I hv no friends or relatives in this state. Does anyone else sometimes feel/react like this? Did I over react?

I watch a 17 month old boy and from the first time I fed him I realized he is very greedy. When I give him a bowl with a snack that he could pick up and eat himself like cookies, crackers, etc. I noticed that he had to have BOTH hands full in order to eat without having a cow. If he only had one of whatever he was eating he would cry and throw a fit or if he hand both hands full and you took everything out except for one he would throw a fit. Then on the days when his mother would come a little early to pick him up and I'd be giving him his snack she would let him have handfuls of whatever just so he wouldn't cry. I stopped that habit while he was in my care months ago, but the way I see it she is enabling his greediness. This morning we were taking his jacket off and I got the arm in which he had a cookie in it, took the cookie out of his hand for less than 2 seconds and before I could put it back 2 seconds later he screamed and cried and she immediately gave comforted him...

I give my children lots of love and attention. I try to work while they sleep or nap. Sometimes, like today, I have to get some work done and don't really want them to be watching TV all day. What are some things you do for your children to keep busy that require little supervision?

I mean actively playing or doing something with them, not just saying 'yes thats lovely' while playing on the computer or doing the washing up!
I mean solely concentration on the child.
I'm talking mainly about toddlers aged 1 - 2

Who, i know is partly my fault, can not sleeep in his bed but sleeps in mine, with me. I cant sleep with him in bed with me and everytime i try to get him to sleep in his bed, he throws a fit and crys and screams. I have a problem with letting a baby sit in a room and cry its self to sleep, but that is what my mother told me to do.
Can any other parent help me with my problem. Cause i have no clue as to what to do.

Is there ever been a case of siamese twins being a boy and a girl or is it always a boy and a boy or a girl and a girl?

My niece, who is 3 years old, on seeing her daddy get out of the bath, asked "Daddy when I grow up to be a big girl, will I look like that". She was pointing to his private parts. Her daddy, quite amused, told her that he was a man and that only men and boys look like that, and she will look like her mummy when she is grown up. My niece replied "Oh good, cause I think it looks untidy". I would love to know what other funny things you have heard children say. Have they ever embarrassed you.

My 2yr old has been for the past couple months waking up usually around 3am screaming. She usually will calm down after I give her some more water (she takes water in a sippy to bed) but sometimes that doesn't calm her down and she'll have tears running out of her eyes. My aunt said she heard of little kids having what they call "night terrors". Wondering if anyone else has ever dealt with something like this and what I can do to prevent it.

have very rigid parents. Their dad is a big time lawyer, there mom is a nurse/stay at home mom. They are the types of parents who think their children need all the best of everything. They buy $200 jeans for their 2 yr old. These girls have EVERYTHING. They even each have their own toy rooms separate from their bedrooms. They do not need toys. I cannot afford 400 dollars for each girl to have an outfit. Yes that is truely what their parents spend. They have this intimidating personalities. Its almost eerie for me to walk into their house. Not that I am poor but I am a nursing student paying my own way through college so money is tight of course. I have thought about books but their grandmother (who I am close to) says there mom is too picky and only allows certain kinds. I am totally at a loss.

Their girls just seem like something out of a primp and proper movie. They are in total control by their parents in every senses of the word.

Someone PLEASE help.
