shes a little over 36 lbs.. not underweight.. sounds about perfect to me? its not really important what she weighs but rather that she keeps growing along thesame curve.. some kids are just tall/skinny all the time.. i have one of those.. and i have an average/chubby one too ... but they stay on the same curve, thats just their "body type"

I'm not sure how tall she is, but from my calculations, she's a little more than 36 pounds ... or 2.598255 stones(1kg = 2.2 pounds, and 1kg = .15747 stones, but you probably already knew that). So for a four - five year old girl, she's not too far off the mark. I've known plenty of girls her age that have been tall and thin, due to genetics...their parents are tall and thin as well. Also, take a look back at how tall/heavy you were as a kid. My son is 6 and weighs about 50 pounds...he's a bit shorter than other six year olds, but he's a rail...just like his father.
If your daughter is active, and eats a good diet, and is otherwise healthy, I wouldn't worry too much. If she does continue to lose too much weight, it may be a good idea to do additonal testing to rule out any illnesses (get a second opinion if you have to...after all, Dr.s are in business to make money) You can never be too careful with your health, or that of your child.

My son is four and his weight is 401/2 pounds, i don't think you should worry i know my son is skinny but i wouldn't say underweight. I feed him constantly and he puts on no weight. I think he just has a fast metabolism. His doctor never said anything about his weight and he's in the 97 percentile for his height. If your doctor thinks that it might be a problem then you should really listen to him. Good luck.

I was concerned also when my 4 year old wasn't up to par on his weight (hes 9 now). I took him to our family Dr. and he asked if he was active and played and I told him he was...so that was a good sign. He said kids go through that at times where they just don't eat or they pick at their food. If she is active and isn't lethargic I wouldn't be too worried. They will eat when their hungry. See where shes at by the New Year and go from there. Just have stuff available when she wants to eat.

When my son was 3 he weighed the same when he was 4. Probably just wants to make sure she is healthy since she under weight and doesn't have a bug. Or something physically wrong. I wouldn't worry about it though. My son is short and under weight. He will be 5 in march.

16.5 kg = 36.3 lbs
The growth chart below may be helpful.
Is she gaining weight? Did she get taller since her last checkup? Sometimes kids grow one direction for a while - "up" for a few months and then "out" for a few months.
What do mom and dad look like? You can't just look at the chart.....you have to compare her body type to mom and dad's. If you aren't huge people, then it is normal for her to be small like you!
