I have heard a good method used with boys is to allow them to

pee onto cherrios in the toilet. They get a kick out of it ! It works !

He might not be ready yet. Have him come into the bathroom with you when your using the big potty. Thats what I did with my son. I also started a potty chart with him. I got happy face stickers and bought some toys from the dollar store as rewards. This is really working for him. I tried starting my son on the potty when he was 2 and noticed he wasnt ready yet. Hes now 3 and a 1/2 and has been potty training for a few months. You can also try the cheerios in the potty. They dont work for my son though. Just make sure you keep the potty in the same room your lil one is in at all times. Get him to sit on it every now and then for a few minutes at a time. Start buying pull-ups too. Have him wear them in the daytime, and diapers at night. Its a lot easier for him to pull them up and down when he does have to go. I wish ya the best!

my son has just turned 3 and we tried when he was 2 with no affect he was about 2 and a half when he finally started to use the potty and nearly 3 when he strated to ask to go to the toilet they seem to know when its time when you are home just put pullup pants on him and try and coax him to use the pottery( have the potty close at hand) or even take him to the toilet when you go to show him its not a scary thing but a good thing to use the big boy toilet even make a game out of it and when he uses it make the biggest fuss out of him my son has problems with number 2s he can go for weeks using the toilet to weeks where he is scared to go you need alot of patients but it will happen in the end good luck x

Wait until he's ready. My son was a week before his third birthday before he was potty trained. By waiting it only took about two weeks to have him fully toilet-ready. If you do it too soon, you're only going to learn about the limits of your own patience.

Also, you will have to be on the lookout for every bathroom every time you go out. Just wait. It's not worth the hassle, and then you'll look back and forget about how easy it was.

boys are pretty hard to potty train, my son wasn't potty trained until right before his 3rd b-day. you just have to wait until he's ready. Bribing works really good. get a box together with some toys from the dollar store and maybe a few suckers and reward him when he goes potty on the potty.

I am having the hardest time getting my son potty trained.
He will go pee on the potty, so long as I keep him naked. If I put underwear or shorts on him, he instantly pees in them. and as far as pooping on the potty...He will hold it FOR DAYS and then finally explode in his diaper.

I am definitely getting frustrated and really wish it was easy!
I have heard that when they are ready, they will tell you, but who knows.
Just try and be patient. Stay focused. Take a week and stay at the house and just keep asking him if he needs to go...Try introducing big boy underwear and maybe make a chart for him to put stars on everytime he goes on the potty, and when he gets to many stars he gets a reward

I never had much luck potty training my boys until they were close to 3. Wait until Spring, let him run around the backyard naked, when he starts to pee, tell him what he's doing and put him on a potty chair.

No more diapers, its going to take time and Patience but you will reach your goal. try to taking him to the restroom every time you go, constantly ask him if he wants to use the potty every time he does go and succeed make it int resting for him and praise him and good luck.
