If I were president/prime minister I would pass a law..A maximum of 2 children per couple..Why? It would allow me to lower taxes, The population would hopefully start decreasing, The children would be better off more attention, more food, school places etc, Its not as strict a Chinas 1 child per couple rule.
Personally I was very happy as an only child, Im undecided as to whether Id like kids.....If so I would like 2.
-If someone decides to have an extra child they would have to pay a tax.
To maternal/paternal type people, Be open minded before answering..whats really best for children & the future?
Thanks☺

i am all for men getting equal responsibilities for babycare and childcare, i myself is currently studing to do early education and childcare, i'd be interested to know why men dont advertise for babywipes and suchlike. Babycare should not be a women only thing, even though there are many single mothers who have to do it themselves, i feel sorry for them having to brings children up alone, having a child takes two people.

My 7 year year old is being very disrespectful. I need some ideas to show her that it is not right to disrespect people. Talking to her is not working. Does anyone have any ideas?

When I must have been around maybe 13 or 14 I pulled a "D" on my progress report and my mom flipped. I couldn't take her anymore so I just shouted "shut the F up!" My mother turned as red as a tomato and dragged me by my hair to the kitchen sink and shoved the bottle of JOY dish liquid right in my mouth and squeezed.

Let me tell you it tasted HORRIBLE!!!

My husband and I are separated with a 2 1/2 year old. My husband is very close to his sister who is a neuro-psychologist. When my kid goes to his dad's, he spends a lot of time with the sister, ( the auntie ). She has no children...and treats our son like her own. One day, when I was present, our boy said, " i have to pee"...the sister...who hates me...completely ignores me and says to my ex..."oh, is that what we're calling it now? pee?" she has also instructed my ex that it is inappropriate to use the words "fart","poo", or "boobies"...she is suggesting that we teach him to say " pass gas", or "breasts"...i'm waiting for her to tell him it's a bowel movement or that he has flatulence... am I wrong to take offense at her being overly politically correct & not letting my toddler speak like a toddler? oh, and it bugs the $%#@*! outta me that she refers to the situation as "we" meaning her and my ex, as if she's the parent...would that piss you off? this is just an example of many

I will always tell my kids their only gift is a roof over their head. Things shouldn't just be handed to you.

I am a single mother with 3 kids 2 of which are still at home. their father seems to only want to help when he wants to, he feels the drugs are more important. I left their father about 8 years ago looking for a new start, because i was right there with him on drugs and i knew my kids deserved better. so i got away and have been clean ever since. while i was with him i got in trouble for the first and only time and it is true what they say about your past following you ever where you go. I haven't been able to get or keep a job, because as soon as they see that 1 mistake my chance has gone out the window. I am on HUD and sometimes i cant pay my bills, but then out of the blue it seems like something comes along. I always keep my faith, because i know GOD will not make a mountain I can't climb. I just pray he will come through for me this Christmas as well, i may have done things in my past, but my kids haven't, so please let them know that things aren't always going to be bad.

I don't trust him. He was a drug user and was selling drugs out of his current place of residence.
He now says he is clean and the his place is clean. His girlfriend was a crack whore too and I don't trust them at all.
I have full custody and decide when, where and how long these visits happen. He said that his girlfriend will not be there and that his house is not known for selling drugs anymore but I don't feel safe knowing that what if there was one person who didn't know that he sold drugs and shows up all messed up around my kids.
I Don't want them to go, but their going to be so upset that I denied their fathers request to visit. They miss him so much. How do I tell him without it becoming a big fight.

My daughter is so sassy at times I would like to UGGG!!!
We attend church regularly and I expect her to go,yet she still has a mouth on her!! We taught her to be respectful of her parents but NO, she argues everything with me. It seems as if she is angry at me for breathing!! Her grades are slipping and I have put her in extra classes to help her but she would rather sit on the couch eating or watching t.v. than helping out around the house. I am at wits end with her. HELP!!!

They are too old for leashes so I'm considering super gluing our hands together, even though it might be difficult to reach my wallet. Is this too extreme? Any other ideas?

I've seen parents whoop and sometimes cuss their kid out in public because the kid acts out. Is this right or wrong? How do you disipline a kid when they act out in public? What's the best way?

Growing up in the US, my family celebrated Advent with wreathes, calendars, cookie baking and decorating. But by the time I was a young adult the tradition seemed to have fallen out of favor. After moving to Europe and starting a family of my own, I've discovered that here the month before Christmas is filled with wonderful family feasts, events and traditions.

Does your family celebrate this special time? And if so, how?

I am sick fed up of do-gooder (most of whom don't have kids) trying to tell us parents how to do our jobs.

You can't use the same type of discipline for every child. They are all different and what will work for one child will not work for another.

Some children will only react well to behaviour charts
Some will only react well to removing priviledges

and unfortunately

some can only be dealt with by smacking.

Smacking not Beating. There is a difference.

You have to do what you can when you're a parent. There are no how to guides.

i have a beautiful loving 1 year old pitbull who is extremely loyal and affectionate and loves me and my boyfriend very much. i fell pregnant by accident and i really dont want to give her away. she is the most sweet good hearted natured dog. i dont know whether she would be jealous with a newborn baby though im really stuck on what to do ! she gets very aggressive in the park with other dogs but i dont know how she will take to babies. she barks if anyone comes near me cause she wants to protect me and has no means of hurting anyone its just her natural response but once the person starts stroking her she licks them to their dead ! lol . she is a very bouncy lively dog and we have raised her since she was a puppy. she loves people and attention and doesnt mind rough play so thats one thing good about having a baby around her . but there are no children in my family so she was only socialized with teenagers, adults and the elderly. what should i do about socializing her with children?

Pretend you have a 11 year old daughter. Pretend you bought her a Pink Nintendo DS.
But then, a while later, your daughter gets interested in the Nintendo DS lite when she sees it in the shop. So she sells her DS, and with the money she earned, she buys a Nintendo DS lite (white).

But then, after 6 months, she gets interested in the PINK DS lite. She begs you to buy it, but you say no. So she wants to sell her white DS lite and with the money, buy the pink DS lite.

What would you say to her? Will you be angry, mad, exasperated, etc.? Will you think your daughter is greedy? Will you let your daughter sell her white DS lite and buy the pink one? Why or why not??

Thanks for answering!!
