Look at Will Smith, George Clooney (probably over 40), Hugh Laurie, and others 40 and over.

40 yr old men are H O T!
They know what they want!
They know hot to get it.
They know how to give it.
They appreciate it.
They have their own money, values, ideas.
They are silly, confidant, sexy, experienced and so much more!
Now here is the REAL problem! I'm in my 40's and think Regis, Sam Elliot, Sean Connery, John Travolta, Roger Daultry are all H O T!

Yes, 40 can be very hot.
I've also seen 25 year old guys who could use a trip to the gym...age isn't always the deciding factor...
