Depends on the judge and depends on how much you spend in bills each month for necessities. You may have to get a better job or a second one if the judge is real harsh.

Calitran is right. Some judges don't take into consideration if you have another child. How much support are you paying that child's mother? A question to you - How old are you and why didn't you use protection? Making $27000/year makes you sound like you are young, relatively uneducated and very little common sense. I do applaud you for wanting to take responsibility for the new child's support.

There's a lot of variables there.

Ultimately, it depends on the state (or country) you live in, the judge you get, your personal finances, and more.

I know where I live, there is a set percentage, so that you don't get a break with each kid. If you are paying 17% of your net pay for child support for one child, and you have another you are having to support, it doesn't go down to 12% for each to make the grand total 24% of your net pay. It would be two 17% payments, totalling 34% of your paycheck. If a third child was having to be supported, that would take it up to 49% of your paycheck. Theoretically, a person can owe more child support than his (or her) entire income.

depends on the state your in, the judge, etc you wont know until you go to court.check on child support laws in your state. also if youre not sure if its your child demand a paternity test. some states will demand one usually anyway but some dont and I wouldnt sign any birth certificate until I was sure the child was mine because in some states even if you and the mother arent married signing anything stating you are the father will stand up in court and you will have to pay even if the child isnt yours. it means you assume all responsibility. sounds harsh but its a reality and ive seen it happen too many times.

There are a lot of different factors starting with what state you live in. If the child is not in daycare and spends most of his/her time with its mother I would say about $200 a week.
