My daughter is 4, and no, I would not let her keep a Bratz doll.

I think I might return it for something else. I thought maybe I was just old-fashioned in my reaction to them until my daughter also said, "My daughter will never get one of those. They look too slutty."
I loved playing with dolls when I was little so it's not that I have a problem with dolls at all, but I think there are better ones you can buy for little girls than Bratz.

I personally do not like them. I guesss I am to conservative.
It depends on the age of your daughter. The younger you could get a replacement doll (like a groovy girl) and switch it out.
My guess is that the excitement of the new doll might wear off eventually as does with other toys and kids.
I gues you just need to gauge how happy she is with the doll.
I think dolls are great for all kids, I am just not a fan of that particular one. I will not give them as gifts, but again that is my choice.
You do not want to upset your daughter. Also if the person who gives it is a close friend or relative you might want to tell them your preference before they buy the gift. If it is someone not so close don't worry about insulting them. They will never know.

Yes, though I won't be happy about it . I'll just throw it away as soon as she feels bored of it.
My daughters hate Bratz dolls anyway and never asked for one. They are 9 and 7.

My daughter got a Bratz doll for her birthday this september. She hasn't taken it out of the box, yet. She's just not interested in that kind of doll at this point in her life. I don't care if she does play with it, though. It's just a toy.
She also has a million Pokemon toys, but I'm not afraid that she's going to think that she can catch a wild animal inside of a tiny ball then teach it to attack other animals. It's just a toy.
Imagination is fun, but, if a parent takes the time to talk to their kids & parent their kids, they easily learn the difference between what's OK when you're playing & what's not OK in real life.

i HATE bratz doll because i feel like they set a bad example but if they receive it as a christmas or bday present then i think its okay but dont let the girl (no matter what age especially 8 or 9) be hooked or obsessed with the doll...look at the way they dress..at least barbie is modest (most of the time)

I'm not fond of Bratz or Barbies, and won't buy them myself. That said, my daughter (age 5) has received a couple of them as gifts and I've let her keep them. She rarely plays with them, though, so I don't worry too much about it.

My daughter received one for her 9th birthday. It held her interest for about 5 minutes. Of course I let her keep it.
Personally I don't like them but when I was growing up women didn't like Barbies, and my mom still let me have them. No damage done there, that's for sure.
