I'm 16.When I was 12,I was raped by a criminal (police caught him) and I got pregnant. My parents are totally against abortion and I had to carry the pregnancy.I was 13 when I delivered - triplets - 2 boys and a girl (in my kin twins and triplets are really common - both my parents have twins and I'm a triplet myself, even though my sister and brother died at the delivery).Months ago I was at a party and got drunk,I had unprotected sex and got pregnant.I wanted an abortion but my parents didn't allow me.Now I'm in 6th month. The doctor said it's one child. Now my parents are mad at me because I'm not expecting twins or triplets but a one child. That isn't fair in my opinion. What can I tell them? What should I do?They don't support me at all because it's only one child.

When my children (3 of them...) were small, I never used the 'naughty-step' but I did use cornertime, which is a bit like time-out. Said that, I also used spanking sometimes. I know that is politically incorrect and it is not suposed to be used these days, but if I had young children again (...please, no!) I think I would still use both corner time and spanking. I really think it worked, although it wasn't often I had to put them over my knee. The 'supernanny' is good at what she is doing, but I still think you get a better result by using both cornertime and sometimes spanking. What do you think about it all?

For all of you who don't know its an old tv sitcom of two working single mothers who move in together to raise their kids with all the benefits of two parnets. Hows that working? What is your purpose for doing so? Do you know anyone doing it? My mother says I should try it but I am having trouble locating single decent women who might be compatable.

An 8 year old smashed her hand in the sliding automatic door a few days ago. it's sore but it's ok. The video proves it. Her parents were only 10 ft away paying for their items. i conducted a few tests so I could explain to my DM later this week. I tested it with a broom and then with my own hand. She had to have her hand there for at least a full minute for it too be smashed. The door opens quickly but closes very slowly. Any small disturbance such as a finger jerk or burp would have caused the door to swing open. I can't imagine an 8 year old being able to keep their hand their for that long, even out of curiousity. I'm starting to suspect her parents made her do this? To prevent myself from sounding cruel in front of my DM, I want your opinion. Does this sound suspicious or just an accident caused by irresponsible parenting? I heard her parents hired a lawyer.

I've been invited to a little boys 1st birthday party. I want to give a gift that his mother will find to be useful, helpful, or one of those "Oh my god, That's PERFECT" type of gifts. If you have a son around a year, what would you like to receive right now. I'm just a friend or the birthday boy, not family, so nothing to outrageous.

I answered a question a few weeks ago about what you bought that was useless and alot of people said bibs. i found that odd. We used/use bibs from day one and love them. We used them when she was on formula to prevent formula stains on her clothes ( she never got any). They were also good for those little spit ups right after eating and kept her dry. Then when she was eating so that food did not get all over her clothes It saved alot of outfits and stopped us from having to change her. So if you don't use bibs do you just change them after every meal or leave them with mushed green beans on their shirt
Are we the only parents that use them? Are we do uptight about her clothes?

I find this quit interesting and a bit disterbing.... I went to Toys R Us today to return an item my dad bought for my son. We purchesed it full price a few weeks ago and I got the gift receipt since I know Toys R Us will NOT do ANY return without one. The item we bought doesn't work for what we wanted to use it for so I took them item today to return it and they gave me a gift card for less than what we paid for it!!! I talked to a manager about the difference in price and she said it was because the gift receipt did not show what we paid for it so they give you the lowest price!!! What a RIP OFF!!!! What good is a gift receipt then?? How much money is that company making off of gift returns? An item is bought for full price and then returned it for lowest sale price. I find this very unfair and unjust!! Does anyone else find this disturbing?

Ok let me explain the situation and tell me what you think..
Me and my fiance are bringing up my 3 kids ages 4,6 & 7, Well before he came into my kids and my life 3 yrs ago, I admit i was having a hard time with the kids listening to everything i said, but it seemed like when we were together they listened.. Like they did need a man in their life, And they love him to death!!
Here is the problem, When the kids dont listen, and im talking really dont listen and act awful we put them in a time out in a chair or put them in their room if they are screaming at the top of their lungs and my family ( my mother and my grandmother mainly) They think its the worst thing and get mad and flip out on me.. They think i should just take it easy on them.. They always say " There Just Kids, Let them act like it " But they are not around them all the time either..
Right now were all fighting, How can i get them to understand our point about disipline?
Its not like we slap them or anything...

1. You make 2 kids hug each other and then either tie them or tape them in that position
2. handcuff them to either sibling, u, or another object
3. make a boy wear girl clothes as a punishment

My 3 kids are 17, 15 & 12 and love to take pictures, make home movies and put them on CDs. They've been doing it for years & I have stacks of CDs filled w/ tricks, dances, comedy skits etc. 3ms ago my husband bought them a laptop w/ a built in webcam & today when we had friends over, they were using it. My 15yr son was doing tricks off the diving board & my girls were sitting on chairs w/ the computer, taking pics/ recording it onto the laptop w/ the webcam. One of my friends asked me what they were doing & I told her. She went, "You let them have A WEBCAM! Do you KNOW what they can do w/ it?!" I said yes I'm aware of what they CAN do w/ it but I very well know what they ARE doing w/ it. Her answer was "Well you can't trust them 100%."
My kids know my rules & what happens if they're broken. I check in sometimes, but I trust my kids and in my parenting job.
As a parent do you trust your kids? If you were in my situation with your own kids, would you allow it?

About a month ago I found out my baby's father has a another child. Get this tho. My daughter is now 4 months and his son is 5 months. Aint that some shi! It just pisses me off. Anyways, I didn't know the bastard was sleeping around like that. My thing is that the girl states that he was there when she delievered and everything. He claims he was in another state when I told him that I had delievered. (I was pissed off at him during my pregnancy so I didn't talk to him until after I had the baby.) He states to me that he knows for a fact that, that kid is his. His *** is not claiming my child, but hasn't totally not claimed her. He tells me his family history and stuff. When I ask realated to the baby. Why is he telling me this stuff if he may be doubting the baby? He tells me if I need anything just let him know. But that isn't the same. What should I do? The girl claims that his parent's know about her son. But they dont know about my daughter. Should I call them up?They should know!

Ok, to try and make a long story short.. (Good luck). My 21 yr. old dead beat brother got a girl pregnant up in Ohio and he presently lives in North Carolina where my parents live The mother of his baby who is 3 months old "can't handle the baby anymore" My mother has asked me to go and pick up the baby and take care of it for an unspecified amount of time till she can come up and get the paperwork and get some sort of custody aggreement.I said, "NO !" My reasoning is that I have 2 children of my own that are 1 yr. and 3yr. I just got myself and part-time job that I enjoy and I NEED to work to help with finances and I felt that it's not my responsibility to care for someone else's baby.I did not create him, why should I bend over backwards to care for him. I DO realize that this in NOT in any way the baby's fault and that his parents are idiots. However, I think that it's asking for too much.. She also wants all my baby clothes and things for this baby.I'm not giving them to her...
