I answered a question a few weeks ago about what you bought that was useless and alot of people said bibs. i found that odd. We used/use bibs from day one and love them. We used them when she was on formula to prevent formula stains on her clothes ( she never got any). They were also good for those little spit ups right after eating and kept her dry. Then when she was eating so that food did not get all over her clothes It saved alot of outfits and stopped us from having to change her. So if you don't use bibs do you just change them after every meal or leave them with mushed green beans on their shirt
Are we the only parents that use them? Are we do uptight about her clothes?

I used them too!! They were great from feeding from newborn to when they got old, to keep things off their clothes! Also used them for when my girls were teething and drooling so their clothes did not get wet! I barely changed my kids clothes, they were dressed in the morning and in the same thing until bedtime but I guess they never really got things on their clothes!

Well I'm still a new mom so I'm not sure what it will be like down the road but maybe the parents that don't use their bibs are ones that are breastfeeding. I know that I don't have to use bibs and if he does get milk on his clothes it doesn't stain.

We use bibs. Although I don't use them a nearly as much because I breastfeed as well as bottlefeed, Of course my daughter is a very messy eater. She spits out her milk alot. Formula stains and in my personal opinion tends to smell. I like the button or Velcro ones personally just because I hate tieing bibs on an infant. I think they are god sends. We don't have to change her nearly as much.

Yes, interesting question. When you consider how many people cook and bake without aprons, maybe they really don't use bibs? Would certainly make sense to me. On the other hand, if you've ever seen those baby shows on TV, they are always doing mounds of laundry for one tiny baby. Either they have a microscopic washing machine or...hmmm..not using bibs?

The best bib ever, when they're on solids, is the baby bjorn harder plastic bib. Also those towel bibs work great if you have a drooler or runny noser.

I nursed my kids when they are younger but when I did use formula I used bibs...never when I nursed though. I also used them if I had a "drooler" when they were teething and definately when they started solids :)

We didn't use bibs. We either fed them in just a diaper or, if they were dressed & they got messy, changed them afterwards. It's not like our kids were in designer clothes, though - lots of hand-me-downs & second-hand store stuff.

I use them when the baby is older and eating solid foods but I do not use them on my newborns, they just seem to get all bunched up around their neck when you are holding them and that seems as though it would be uncomfortable to me.
