My son just turned 1 a week ago, and he loves these toys:
Any ball or board book (not specific, but...)
Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Magnetic Cookie Puzzle
Fisher Price Peek-a-Blocks Hippo and Giraffe
Little Tikes Discover Sounds Boombox
Little Tikes Handle Haulers
Mega-Bloks
Oh, and the Leap Frog table looks better.

I had the leapfrog, all 3 of my kids used it. Everyone else I know has the leapfrog too. This toy is perfect for your child's age. My kids loved it when they were pulling up, crusing and newly walking. Someone said their 3 yr old doesn't like it. The age range is 6 months to 36 months...don't buy it for your 2.5-3 yr old.

We got this in 2004 and have still been using it! We got it for my kids when my oldest was 2 and youngest was 8 months. I had one more kids since....my kids are now 5, 3.5 and 2. My 2 yrs old love it, and my oldest 2 are not as interested, but they still tend to pretend play with it.

I'd choose the Leap Frog, I know my son just loves their toys, and it just looks more entertaining.
My son liked the beads on a twisty wire (can't think of what they're called) where he moves them along. There's a small one at Wal-Mart where their store brand toys are.

both are great i had the leap frog one and my son loved it a friend had the fisher price one and he loved it too

leapfrog fisher looks likes mostley bottems and my son loves the leapfrog and we have 2 diff tables like that

honestly you would be wasting ur money on either! i have both for my now 3 year old and he lost interest in both after the first week he now uses them as a chair or to chase our dog around with!

Definitely ANYTHING by Leapfrog. They are terrific and their customer service is fantastic.
