Yes, and it kills me that we can't see my parents more often. Growing up, my grandparents visited every Saturday night and they babysat us when my parents needed to go out. My child will never have those kinds of great memories. It does get me down a bit. I miss my mom too!

Yes. I live about an hour and a half from my mom and I have no idea where my dad is... I think he's a couple of states away. (We obviously aren't very close.)

My mom comes over to see my daughter almost every weekend, so I rarely get the chance to miss her. ... I hope that you get to see her sometimes :) Can she come visit you once or twice a month and you go visit her once or twice a month? Or maybe even meet halfway for a picnic or something with the kids a couple of times a month. I bet she misses you too!

My mom lives 3 1/2 hours away and my dad lives 10 hours away. I miss my mom, especially now since this is my first pregnancy. Although sometimes I am glad her and my mother in law do live 3 1/2 hours away because if not, they would be at my house nagging me constantly. They do it over the phone every day. But even though they do nag constantly I miss them.

My mother just moved about an hour and a half away and is already considering moving back, because I am pregnant and wants to see the children grow. Either way, she will be over here all of the time. Now, my mother in law lives 15 hours away.... and I am very happy! LOL

I have three children and I live over 8 hours away from one set of my parents and most of my extended family. I miss them terribly and wish that we lived a little closer so that we could visit more often.

Well since both my husband and I are in the Airforce, we are currently stationed in Alaska about 6000 miles away from my parents in Arkansas and his parents in Ohio. I am currently 7mths pregnant with my first child and I miss my parents and all my family for that matter every day! Its gonna be hard having a baby and living so far away from everything and everyone we love.

My husband and I live about an hour from my parents and we prefer to keep it that way. My mom is an over-bearing control freak and if we lived in the same town we would be at each other's throats. She was a HORRIBLE mom. She was constantly yelling at us kids for EVERYTHING. She would yell at us for talking when we were cleaning the kitchen because we were not doing it fast enough! She told me when I was 12 that I would be a bad mom because I got sick in the car when I had a migraine and couldn't clean it up myself! I don't want my son growing up with her yelling at him like that. She treats my niece like crap, and my sister just lets them do it. My husband would rip them a new azzhole!
