For all of you who don't know its an old tv sitcom of two working single mothers who move in together to raise their kids with all the benefits of two parnets. Hows that working? What is your purpose for doing so? Do you know anyone doing it? My mother says I should try it but I am having trouble locating single decent women who might be compatable.

Well your talking about about 2 single working moms living together. The only benefit I see is financial meaning you both split the bills. That may ease your pain slightly, but I wouldn't say that gives you all the benefits of a two parent family. Both of you still have to work, so there is not stay-at-home-parent. Also - Who ever you get to move in with you isn't going to have that loving bond with your child that lets say a father would. I mean if you have a mom and dad both working, sure the kids still miss out a bit, but both mom and dad would take a bullet for their child. Would anyone you get to move in with you do that for your child? probably not.

However it still might ease the financial burden, maybe allowing you not to have to put in as many hours, resulting in more free time with you baby. So just be sure you trust the person moving in with you.

Good Luck

A friend of mine is doing that right now. Her louse of a ex-husband refuses to get a job so he doesn't have to pay child support, and the woman he lives with pays for everything (I would NEVER date a guy that refused to support their child/ren!!). She shares a 3 bdrm home with another woman (They both have girls around the same age...my friend's daughter will be 8 in Nov.) The girls share a room right now, but they are in the process of dividing the downstairs rec room into two bedrooms and they are going to use the other room for a computer room with a couple of desks for homework. It seems to be working out great for them.

Look on craigslist.com. Under the housing section they have a room/roommate section.
