a 14 year old: how much time on the phone?
she is allowed a certain time to talk on it everynight after homework, chores etc. what is a normal time to talk on the phone for a teen without them causing the bill to go over. we are on a shared plan and i split the minutes up between the two of us. what are some suggestions. i feel like i am holding the phone prisoner from her and i need help!
the reason she has a limit each night is because when she was living with her mom, she ran up the phone bill numerous times and cannot be trusted with a phone.

ps we do not have a home phone for her to use. a cell is all we have!

I have a 2 year old nephew who is baby sat by my father during the day. My father works from home and doesn’t give him the amount of attention I think is needed. He plays mostly by himself all day or sits next to my father at his desk. I find now when if I’m watching him and I try to put him down for a nap I get screaming and crying. My parents say he doesn’t nap. You can tell he's tired he just refuses to sleep. It just seams to me my father is too busy to put up with a tantrum and lets my nephew do what he wants. Am I crazy or should he be napping during the day and shouldn’t a 2 year old be playing with other children?

Guys in my class just act and seem so stupid. Sure I love them all the hot ones anyway and have fun hanging out with them but sometimes its just like, "WHAT THE HELL WILL YOU BE SERIOUS FOR ONE FRIGGIN MOMENT?" you know what i mean right? is there even a way to make them more mature?

Ok, i have never had my liscense, only my permit. Two years ago my hubby was teaching me to drive and i had a horrible accident with my son in the car. I stoped at a stop sign and presceded to go thinking i had enough time but there was a truck doing 65 in a 25 and it t boned us. The seatbelt holding my sons car seat in ripped out and he ended up upside down in the front of the car. I thanks god every day that he was fine just a little scared. And i called the car manufaturer and they issued a recall. But i have not driven since. My hubby just got me a car for my birthday and i am wonder how to get over my fear of driving with my kids in the car. I shake so bad even at the thought of it. I often tell my hubby mabey i am just not ment to drive. Looking for other parents that had accidents and got over the fear of driving.

Has anyone seen those "leashes" for kids and parents? I remember seeing them but don't know where to look for one. I don't want to loose my daughter in the airport. Help!

I am a single mother and I am only 21 years old. My son never listens. I tried talking to him, I tried yelling at him, and I tried popping him on the butt. No matter what I do, he still doesn't listen and he yells and screams more no matter what approach I take! :( What should I do to get him to listen and stop yelling and screaming?

We know that they will grow up to create problems in society but we spoil and ignore the obvious signs I believe that we should try to fix the problem before assuming society should take care of them

Someone once told me that time flies when you have children and i didn't realise how right they are.
I'm only 38, but feel about seventy.
I want to remember every instance of my kids growing up but memories fade.

I wish i could do it all again, it's sad really, anyone else feel the same way?

Hi i am 24 yrs old and just about to turn 25.My daughters bio- father was released from prison. His crime was committed while we were still in highschool he was driving home from a party drunk and hit someone killing them.He spent 5 yrs in prison for this but i wrote to him every once in a while and sent some photos of his daughter. When he was released he showed up on our door step with a stuffed animal for my daughter wanting to see her.Originally i introduced her to him as mommys friend and slowly let them get to know each other. He is paying some form of child support he visits on the weekends only to take her out for a special breakfast or lunch she knows now that he is her biological dad.It been to 2 yrs since he got out of prison and he works as a mechanic not making much but he treats his daughter well and loves her.Problem is my hubby of almost 2 yrs hates him and he is the subject of many of our fights?

Ok, its quite a long one!!
My step daughter is 3 - she has been up to now a well balanced wonderful child and my partner and I have never had a problem with her! don't worry - I am not a pushy mother and expect her to be perfect, I understand she will have bad days - but we have a serious issue!

My partner and his ex split - we are all friends now - we talk openly, we share thoughts and ideas, we do really well for a broken up family. My 3 year old step daughter was giving her dummy (dodi, pacifier) up for christmas, giving it to Santa in return for toys!!! well Daddy and me stuck to it only mummy and EVERYONE else still gave it to her!! since then she has not wanted to come and stay at ours, she has absolute hysterics when she realises she is staying and when asked she will admit its because she wants the dummy and mummy gives it to her! her mummy however believes her daughter is going through a very "needy mummy" stage and its not the dummy!! last week we had to drop the...TBC!

Last post:

We asked him to give us $50 a week to help out with expenses, cuz we really need the help right now badly, but he threw a fit and said his money is his money and that he was keeping it! He says he's in the right and that he doesn't have to give us anything! The boy has no bills what so ever, he blows his money on himself. Ooops, no wait! He has one bill...(Car Insurance), Insurance is in his name, but his grandmother pays this for him cuz she likes spoiling him! He makes $270 a week after taxes, thats almost a $1100 a month, money that he just blows! Who's right and what should we do?

New post:

He now says that if he pays us the $50 a week that he should have the same rights as any other tenant who would rent an apartment....meaning that he can bring friends to the house when ever he wants, having girls stay over night, late night phone calls, etc, etc! He says he has that right! Please give us your thoughts and suggestions on this as we are at our wits end.
