Look for non-profit agencies that can help you.

I went out and found this list of non-profits that look like they're in your area. I had to put the address on two lines so it's not cut off on YA. So, type in the entire address without the dots after org/

resources/local/california.html

This might be a good place to start.

When you talk to them, if they say they can't help, ask them for ideas, for other people to call, for resources.

You might also contact WIC in your area (women, infants and children) as they can maybe help with food and may be able to connect you to other resources.

I hope it all works out for you! Don't give up, just keep asking until you find what you need. God bless.

If your not getting enough money to live in an apartment and I know it's not cheap to live in CA because I use to live in PA with my daughter who was 5months at the time and my husband had to go over seas to Saudi Arabia for a year and I thought the cost of that was an arm and a leg until I saw the cost of living in CA.

I would start looking for jobs like what your doing now in other States because you have a little under 9months to do that and it just might take some of the stress off the both of you if you do that.

Don't get pregnant if you've nowhere to live. If you both work full time you really shouldn't have a problem. Maybe you should take a budgeting class and learn how to manage your money better. In the meantime I wish you luck with your search for emergency housing and with the pregnancy. I'm the other side of the pond so I can't really give practical help.

move somewhere where you can both afford the rent but keep your jobs like getting transfers try social services to point you in the right direction aswel. go to homeless shelters and ask if they know of anything ask people who you know for advice on places to stay. try the local yellow pages, do what ever you have to do because when you guys have your baby you dont want to be thinking about this stuff you want to have a good life with the baby and focus on being a family and not be so stressed.
good luck

Maybe it's time to consider moving to a more affordable town... settle down and raise a family.
