My son is complaining about having chest pains, so I asked him how bad was it and he said that it is not that bad However, I was going to take him too the emergency room. He does not have a heart condition but I am worried.. He is refusing too go to the ER, so I am going to take him to see his pediatrician tomorrow morning so that they could run some test on him.

Is this natural for a child that young to be complaining about chest pains? If yes, what can it possibily mean.. I am afraid because that boy is my heart, I am really considering taking him too the ER but he said that he is better now.

Thank you for responding...

I know there are people out there who do evil things, like try to gain the trust of children on chat lines so the child wants to meet the pervert outside of the childs home. Also i have recently been to sexoffender.com and i have descovered several perverts that live on my road, not to far from this perevert is a home that houses several children. How could i tell the people who live on my road about these peverts in a matter where it will not make them live in fear, also what should i look for on the internet and who should i call if i suspect that there is an online predetor. Any information would help and may our children always be safe.

My 16-year-old brother rolled the family car up in the hills while goofing off and being wreckless.
Afterwards my mom made a list for his punishment that had get a job, maintain a C average (he's failing almost all of his classes), no more video games, no more computer unless it's school work, no more getting things left and right, and that he has to be a "slave" until he turns 18.
Well not very long after she didn't enforce it and now she blames me for his failing. I'm 18 and go to the community college while I still live at home. But I can't force him to do his homework, I can't even get him out of my way because I know that asking him will only make it worse and pushing him will then cause him to push me back and possibly beat me up for pushing him.
So I don't know how to deal with the situation.

So I told him he shouldn't let teachers send me to the office for minor stuff like talking back, cuddling with boys, or dress code violations.

He sent a note home to my dad that I have to get signed, but dad is still at work and has not seen it yet. It says if there's ever a next time, I get out of school suspension and dad would freak if that happened. My principal keeps saying I should thank my lucky stars I am not his daughter because he would bust my butt. I was like "whatever" and then he chewed me out and gave me detention today and tomorrow.

I am 16 and this is sooo stupid.

She went to a fancy college knowing that she would have about $1000 a month payment when she got out.(Student loans) She has a good job now and can pay her bills, but most often puts fun before bills and gets behind ALOT. She has several credit cards that are going to collections because she chose not to pay them. She wants me to help with her bills. I can't afford it. She likes to eat out alot and go shopping with money that is for bills. She refuses to keep a checkbook register, so she has no idea what is in her account, and bounces checks constantly. She wont follow a budget, even though she COULD pay her bills if she did. But by doing so, it would mean less fun money. I have always put bills first, and fun later so I do not understand this mentality she has. She's always trying to make me feel guilty for not helping her pay the student loans like "All the other parents do". I can't afford to, but she thinks I can. Is it my responsibility to help her?

Ok my son is 18 months old and all he can say right now is mama, dada, sometimes bear and cookie. So we took him to his 18 month check up and my doc freaks b/c he can't say atleast 10 words. My son understands everything we say to him. I look at him and tell him to go get his water on the table and he will go get it and bring it back. He hears us, but the doc was saying that he might not be able to hear so good and suggested and hearing test. For what? He listens and responds. He can also do things that most 2 year olds can't.. the only thing wrong is he isn't talking yet. Should this be a problem. I mean he always points at what he wants and I tell him what it is and repeat it. I read to him, I talk to him all day long about what I'm doing what i need to do, and when we are out I am always talking to him. He just isn't speaking yet. Anyone else with this problem? And should I be worried? even though I feel that my son will talk when he wants to. I don't feel like he should be forced.

Basically, the parents of a severely brain damaged girl had her growth deliberately stumped so her parents could care for her at home as she is growing older. Interesting story.

Can't imagine being in that situation, so don't really know how I feel about it.

Just wanted to see what others thought. Thanks.

A posting earlier today got me thinking about a rule in our house.I am a mom of seven kids five of whom live at home, they are 14,12,5,3&17months.My husband and I believe evening/night time to be an adults time for this reason our kids go to bed early.17months usually in his crib by 7.00pm,5&3 go to bed at 7.30pm.The older two are both in bed asleep by 9.30ish during the week. The rule is that once the kids have had their dinner (my husband&I eat later),bath etc.they have no t.v,phone, ipod, video game rights&we go by the saying they should be seen¬ heard(w/in reason). When all3babies are in bed my husband myself&the older2watch t.v for around an 1hr until I start moving the older kids towards bed.During this hr the 12&14yr old are expected to use an "indoor voice"&are only really asked to talk if my husband and I speak to them, its winding down time for them not a time for idle chat or hyping up.If they wake the babies they will be spanked/sent to bed.We do spend a lot of time with them

ok heres the deal my husband has a child from another relationship.we have been married 8 years and at the begining of the marriage i pushed him to play an active roll in this childs life well he didnt listen. we moved 650 miles away 5 years ago and out of sight out of mind. he doesnt write, email, text, or call this child. once a year usually around this time the mother contacts him and says some thing to the effect that she was going to come here and then they could have a meeting well out of the 5 times shes promised this never once has she done it and each year he gets all hurt. again this year she has contacted him, i told him not to get all excited because it hever has happened in the past it probably wont happen this year either. I have thought about emailing the mother and telling her not to get my husbands hopes up but have yet to do it what do you think?

My son is the same way with my Black Berry pearl. I think it's only because of the lights, buttons and sounds it makes. Not because he wants a phone of his own. Cell phones are so common now, my son thinks everything is a phone...the remote, alarm clock ect ect... Its cute and funny when he calls Grandpa (who is speed dial #1) and leaves a 3 minute message.
Do you let your kids play with your cell phone?

My fiance got into a little fender bender with my apartment. The apartment was ok but he did sone damage to the front of my car. The next day we paid $400 to get it fixed. Two days later a guy pulled out in front of me and damaged the same spot on my car that we had just got fixed. He was a tweeker (meth head) with no insurance and living in a motel. I had to pay $250 (deductible for uninsured) to get the same thing fixed. Frustrating how things seem to work like that. Wondering if Im the only one that things like that happen to or if its like that for everyone.

First of all, their ages are 8, 4, 2. Now, most of my friends have kids the same age as mine or close to.
I hate to call my friend's homes & their kids answer then feel it neccesary to tell me about their homework, their toys etc. Part of the time I cannot understand what they are saying & nine time out of ten, my time is limited so I don't want to spend it trying to decode the conversation.
I know it is ugly & mean, I don't complain to them. I am just wondering if I am the only one who feels this way.

My wife does and I do not like it. She will breast feed at the dinner table, out in public and anywhere else. Kind of makes me feel uneasy. I do not care if someone else sees her breast just the breast feeding in public makes me feel uneasy. Plus it makes it hard for me to take care of the child for any lengh of time. If she is hungary then I am out of luck. I know she could pump but she does not.

My husband has had custody of his daughter since she was 7. At the age of 16 she announced she wanted to live with her mother. We were not too thrilled about the decision but understood her need to want to bond with her mom. At 17 she decided to come back and finish her last year of high school with us. When we asked “why” she said she “didn’t connect well with the community” where her mother lives. We’ve been talking a lot about college these days and agreed we can afford to pay 50% and she should get the other 50% from her mom (who make the same amount of money we do). Well she came back from visiting her mom over the holidays and now she wants to go to college in the same town her mother lives and her mom can’t afford to pay anything for college so she will have to get the money from us or a student loan.

I was thinking o should take my name off the birth certificate. I am not the father I had a DNA test done. My ex's mother says I can't because I signed the birth certificate and I have been there for the baby since its birth. The baby is 2 now. I do care for the baby but I do not want to be financially responsible for something that’s not mine. I don’t want to have to pay the mother money. That’s all she wants me for anyway. I bought diapers clothes every piece of baby furniture in that baby’s room I did every thing a father was supposed to do and my ex only told me that the baby wasn’t mine because she was mad I wouldn’t give her money directly. That’s when I got the DNA test done. The real dad is in jail the mother knew I wasn't the father but told me I was because she knew I was more responsible. I know that if i keep my name on then the mother of the baby won't let me see the baby unless i pay her directly. what would you do keep paying for the child or break all ties?

Ive been babysitting a little boy for 3 mths now & everytime i get paid it gets less and less. So tell me what you think...I babysat this last week for 4 days. Each day was only 2 1/2 hours, but in that time I have to feed and change the baby (hes 10 mths). He is always brought over hungry & ready to eat and half the time comes with a poop diaper. When its time to take him home I have to take him, which is 10 miles home (20 round trip). This week I only got a check for 20 dollars. I also have 4 of my own children, 2 of which are at home when i am sitting. What do you think? Do you think I am getting ripped off? Would you continue to babysit for this girl? What do you think I should be getting paid for this? Serious answers only please!
