Yes, it does make you think. But also, something that does scare me more, sperm banks. In years to come, we could have sisters marrying brothers, without them ever knowing.

You have asked a question, maybe unrelated, that is a worry to many people, what is this world coming to!

You have broached the tip of an iceberg, and good on you for doing so.

However that 10% may be because the women have been married before or simply have had children without the benefit of marriage.. You are making some pretty sweeping judgement calls about the women in the relationships. You might want to step back and rethink that.

That happened to my brother. He married a women who shortly after their wedding became pregnant. He was told by a friend that he saw my brothers wife with another man. My brother had a paternity test done once the baby was born and it came back not his. In the state he was living in because the baby was conceived during marriage my brother was legally responsible for the baby even though DNA tests proved it wasnt his child. He divorced his wife and has a great relationship with the child and even though he isnt biologically my nephew, we still treat him like he is. I just feel sorry for him when he is told that my brother isnt his biological father. Sad that our kids are subjected to that either because of loose women or loser fathers.

as a child i always had a feeling that something was amiss in the family and always felt the odd one out. it wasn`t until 3 months ago when my father was dying i spent a fair bit of time with him, having man to mans and suchlike and dealing with unfinished business that it came to light that i was not his son. my mother had an illicit affair while he was off doing his bit in the forces. i can say though in all honesty that it didn`t bother me as i`d accepted him as my father for 55 years and him accepting me as a son. but i was with him till the very end and i wouldn`t have missed that for the world ! So, all i am trying to convey is that which we don`t know doesn`t really matter at the end of the day and will not anhialate us. a parent is a parent whether by blood or not.it`s all about loving and being loved in a parent child relationship.

As has been said - men will just have to stop spreading seed around and then perhaps the women will stop changing partners.

It a choice - and cause and affect - comprehend?

And to all those men that are scared - just think how much more this will increase if the world population got addicted to one substance or another.

Are you sure of your facts.

Seems more likely that 90% of men who fathered a child outside of marriage claimed the kid wasn't theirs.

P.S my wife has very dark hair and my youngest son ( yes he is mine) has the whitest hair you ever saw. She is always having to convince people that he is really hers.

I'm sure it must have scared my husband when during the ultrasound I yelled, "Wow, he looks just like the pizza delivery man." I was just kidding of course but the look on the ultrasound tech's face was priceless.

That may be true but its not something you can change. What can you do? throw a tantrum and end up with nothing?

A relationship has to be built on trust, respect and love, then the situation wouldn't arise.
