We LOVE C.E.C during the weekday daytime! I meet other moms there sometimes at 10 when they open. We stay for an hour or so, order a pizza with a coupon for lunch, then save the tokens we get with lunch for the NEXT visit. Sometimes if we have extra tokens, we just go and play, and eat somewhere else.

I REFUSE to go there during the weekends nor will I allow my child to go to a C.E.C party.

I can't handle it - the noise, the germs, the confusion. You blink and they are gone and look like the 100 other kids there and they can't hear you (or you him) for all the noise.

It hasn't been a problem because most of my friends agree so it's only been once that I've declined an invite, and it was a child he hardly knew from his class.

I"ve had good and bad; I have to say that the good ones were all when the place was really empty. LIke a tuesday night during the school year and a weekday morning also during the school year. When I've gone on a Saturdya or Sunday to a kids' party it's been hellishly crowded, loud, and stressful. I find the pizza fairly decent, by the way.

Chucky Cheese was the place where other kids went for birthday parties that always included pizza, video games, and vomit.

I think the nickname in elementary school was Upchucky Cheese.

Very fast paced. Seemed like the kids would go play and it would be time to round them up for pizza, then go play...no come back for cake and presents. Well our hour is up so we have to get our stuff off the table... Also it seemed expensive because we also bought pizza for the adults and once we did that and the $10 per kid it seemed like a lot for an hour. But the kids liked it.

If you're thinking about having a party for your kid, try to do it as early in the day as possible. Much less crowded. Adults usually hate it, but kids love it.
