My husband and I are on the fence about having a 3rd child. My boys are 2.5 and 16 months and we were thinking of having a third child (a girl would be great). We just wanted to know how drastically our lives/family dynamics will change with a third. I'm fearful of middle-child syndrome, not being able to handle 3 kids going out to run erronds etc. I am especially intersted on how our lives will change once the kids are in school, with activities etc. Any advice?

Why do some people feel the need give younger mothers who aren't doing anything wrong with their child(ren) dirty looks. I don't feel this is fair to the women who decided to have kids at a younger age. I feel if you can afford it and you are stable in a relationship why not ya know. I mean these parents that do this are the ones who are saying you should be married before having kids and what kind of example are you setting for your child by not being married but correct me if i am wrong these people that are being so judgmental are they not setting a bad example for their child(ren) by pretty much saying go ahead and judge people by what they look like and what not??

HOW DO YOU ALL FEEL ABOUT THIS??

They are 4 and 6 and their Grandma just passed away. I haven't told them yet and I don't know how. We are not religious so I won't be mentioning anything about heaven or anything else religious. What about the funeral? I'm concerned about them not sitting still and making noise. I remember a wedding where a kid started throwing a temper tantrum and I don't want that to happen.

My daughter is 12 and has been through a lot. She doesn't talk to me anymore, though. I found out a month ago that she was being molested by her father. We are going to court against him later this month. Before that, I had been working a lot and I didn't notice anything was wrong. It took a school counselor to make me aware. Is that possible that my daughter blames me as much as I blame myself? I want to be close to her again more thna anything. I know that she needs me. I am trying but I don't know what to do anymore!

I say an article saying some parents spend $38,000 on a three year old's birthday! I personally believe that is too much.

I'm a babysitter, babysit 3 or 4 days a week and 12 hours per day.
I charge only $1 per kid per hour. (There are reasons to charge low)
4 y-o boy and 3 y-o and 16 month baby girl. So it's $33 a day:
Things I do are :
1.cook breakfast
2. cook lunch (And watch their diet)
3.change dipers (include the 3-y-o girl, she has potty problem)
4. hand wash dishes (they don't have dish-washer)
5. disipline them and stop them fight
6. pick up toys, keep house clean
7. teach them drawing (art) or play games
8. cartoon time
9. Bath them BF their parents home

My questions are:
(1) Do I try do too much according to my pay and hours...?
(2) If you were in my shoes, what would you do...?
(3) Can you stand 12 hours babysitting?
I just try to not to hate this job...(even it's just 2 month....)

In 1971, I was in 8th grade. I remember going to about three or four parties where kids were necking. (me inlcuded!) I remember one party where we were in an added on room with a pool table and such - and after awhile, the lights went out and everybody was just making out for about - I don't know - hours. At one point the Mom came in and said - "It's okay - I just have to get something" - and then she just left, knowing full well what was going on. Was my mother just naive letting me go to these parties? I have a child who is 12 and in the 7th grade. I'm wondering if this will be the norm for her soon - or if I was just running with a different crowd. We would never allow anything like that to go on in our home. Did any of you go to parties like this age back in the 60's and 70's? Is this going on in homes today? Maybe I just had a weird childhood.

My friends son was 10 pounds even at birth, he is now 7 months old and has only put on 6 pounds since. He is so tiny. My son was 9 pounds 1 ounce at birth and he was the same weight as my friends baby when he was 3 months old. I don't feel this is a good weight gain, the mother refuses to feed him anymore than 4 ounces of formula every 4-5 hours and he is not on any kind of baby food or cereal yet. How can I politely tell her that her baby could potentially be underweight. He is 27 inches right now and was 22 1/2 at birth. What do you all think as parents. Her pediatrician has also advised her that her son is in the lower percentile for kids his age in the weight area. I feel like I should take the poor kid out for a happy meal ( just a joke ). How do I approach her about this in a nice way without offending her?

Even though I think it is gross others might not. What if the child wants you too, or while rough housing puts it in your face/ makes you smell it, or sticks it in your mouth, or you want to make sure your kids don't have smelly feet, or you just like too?

I'm 15 and I already have ideas of what I want to go to college for. I won't graduate until I'm 19. What age do you think kids should research and look into going to college? I also know that I'm going out of my state to go to college.

My twin daughters come home from school every day, blabbing on about "Andy." Apparently, he has kissed one of them, and now the two are fighting about who did what and who he likes best. I am confused, and do not know how much of their stories are true. What should I do?

My fiance and I are in the process of finding a home to rent. I've been looking for over a month and the only places that will take a pet (which he has a year old dog) are $400 more a month than the ones that say no pets plus a $300 non refundable deposit. We are paying for own wedding and are expecting a baby in July. I feel the best thing to do is to find his dog another family and move into one of the cheaper but just as nice places that say no pets but he would rather keep the dog and pay more. If you were in my fiance or my postion what would you do?
