My twin daughters come home from school every day, blabbing on about "Andy." Apparently, he has kissed one of them, and now the two are fighting about who did what and who he likes best. I am confused, and do not know how much of their stories are true. What should I do?

for the first step in solving this issue, talk to the girls one at a time. make sure to note if their stories are believable and who was apparently "kissed" by this boy. talking with them two at a time is headed for melt downs and fighting. the second step is to talk to the teacher if it occurred at school, where it probably happened. talk to their teachers and explain the problem and ask them to keep an eye on them and why it would happen at school in the first place- i think five year olds should be more monitored and the teachers should've told you. ask both why. finally, talk to the boys parents and explain ( kindly, not rudely- there just little children after all) about what happened, then talk to the girls and tell them that they should apologize to each other and that doing things like that aren't right, and that they aren;t allowed to have a boyfriend anyway. hopefully, things will turn out right. good luck!

Spank them for having that argument and tell them no boyfriends untill they are 18. a 5 year old should not be kissed by a boy or have a boyfriend.

my daughter is 6 and the whos got a boyfriend and girlfriend seems to be the talk personally i think this is a good lesson for them to work out on their own but stand by to moniter when you can as for the seriousness of the boyfriend i would't worry about it to much mine changes her man every day ...lol but as for your situaiton it is way cute!!

Let them work it out for themselves or you will be in the middle of every argument they have until they are grown. Really. Girls argu like this all thier growing up. I know I have 4 sisters and we are all really close in age. Our Mom ignored our arguments because she knew that as soon as she got involved we would be made up with each other. If its not "Andy" it'll be some other Tom, Dick or Harry!!!

Tell them he likes both of them the same. I mean, they are twins.

I say, let them work it out... I think if you get in the middle it becomes a bigger deal to them..
