and for some reason cleaning never stops, I even wipe down the baseboards...the thing is, what is the big deal about having a spotless house? Will my son pick up on this, he is 2 almost. Some friends say that thier homes are spotless, yet when I go over they arent.
But when they come to my home, they always make a comment about how its messy!
What gives?
What are the pros about having a very clean house, is all my work for nothing?

This woman on my block has at least 7 kids (5 of who live with her). The run around the block curssing people out and screaming and just terrorizing the neighborhood. What get's me is she just sits right their and laughs while all this is going on, thinking it's cute. Sometimes I just wanna grab her and smack some sense into her.

Have you ever felt this way about another parent?

I SUCCESSFULLY potty trained my three yr old girl when she was about 18 or 19 months old. It was so nice, and not even very hard. And no, it WAS NOT ME doing all the work. Now I have a little boy who is 16 months old and I want to get him potty trained in the very near future. I am pregnant with a baby due in February, and I definately would like to see it happen before then. My daughter was potty trained in about a week. For those of you who think I should wait for a couple years, you're wasting your time telling me that because I have had good experience.

I need some advice on coping with my son's estranged father coming back into his life. He hasn't been around for a year and now he want to see my almost three year old, and I have to let him, but I am going crazy inside my head knowing my son will have to be sent to spend time with, essentially, strangers. Does anyone know what I mean? Help!

I am a full time student right now, and I also have a 6 year old and a 10 month old. This arrangement works out nice for us, because I can finish my degree while being home with my baby, and by the time my husband gets out the military, I'll be set with my education and I can get the job and money that I want.

My problem is that my husband seems to think he doesn't live in this home too. I do 99% of the laundry, ALL the household cleaning, clean all the bathrooms, do 99% of all the cooking, food shopping, miscellaneous errands, pay the bills, take out the trash about 85% of the time, and I am the only one who seems to remember minor details like when to change the water filter and when to fix more bottles for the baby.

To be fair, he does do the following: vaccum, mow the grass twice a month on weekends, tend to the kids ok, and get the mail. That's all though unless I jump into his posterior. He only works about 6 hours a day at a laid back office. Am I the jolly maid or what?

I do not get the Amish people and forgiving the shooter(he killed himself) for killing their children in cold blood and then the shooter was going to molest them but the police were fast in being outside and foiled that plan(thank god) I have 2 kids....an infant boy and a 8 yr old daughter and i know if someone shot my daughter in cold blood, I would NEVER forgive him and the person who did it should pray that they don't let him go cause I would shoot him in cold blood....If your child got shot, would you forgive the shooter?

I have a friend that may have a child w/ autism, she is so depressed and I fear she doesn't have enough information on how to care for her son's special needs. Is there anything out there that she can read or maybe a support group that she can join? Any information that you can pass my way would be a help.

They wont tell you whats on their mind yet they make it obvious that they do not care about you much. Not all women but a good deal of them.

are you proud of your status, outside the capitalist society, to perform unpaid work, that most consider valueless? Do you feel like a worthless, unpaid peasant or serf of the the days of old?
Are you jealous when your single sisters go out to an exciting day
of work as lawyers, executives, and such, while you are cleaning
dirty underwear and scrubbing toilets all day?
Are you embaressed that Oprah and all the hosts of the Home
shopping network are your best friends?

well?

when it comes to our children in our country, and some are being neglected, like mentally challenged children, a person that has some what custody of a child like this just lets them go and they crap in the floor and eats rocks and strings and etc, and you know the person that has custody of this child should you turn them in for neglect on that child or just keep quite and let it go thinking in the long run someone will eventually find out? This child barely knows she is in the world to a certain extint, she is not really a family member to this person and the person just has temporary custody of said child but this child really needs a one on one help which she doesnt get there is alot that could be done for her but isnt, she is a very loving child but has so many issues and her own mother couldn't even handle her she would put her in a room and turn the knob around backwards and lock it from outside to keep her out of stuff. she eats anything and everything she can....

I am 24 and I had my little girl in June 2005. I adore her and every minuet i spend with her. I went back to work part time in January then left the company to stay at home and childmind 2 other little girls in May.

I am still with the father and we own our own home. BUT it is in a council estate. He works and we have never lived of benefits i have always worked for my money.

I am desperate to get out of this area and really want to move so my daughter can go to a good school and be brought up in a nicer area. So with lettle time to actually get moved the only way i can do this is to go back to work FULL TIME.......

Will i be letting my daughter down ?

if i get the job i have gone for i will be doing shift work 6-2 one week and 3.30 - 12 the other.

I am so worried that people are going to brand me a bad mum for doing this but i am only doing this for her future and to give her the best possible start in life...

PLEASE someone tell me i am doing the right thing ???

Why would someone say when the child can swim that they can bathe alone? How deep ARE other peoples' bathtubs?? Drowning in a tub has nothing to do with capability to swim. They have young infant swim classes, but a child that age certainly couldn't run bathwater and not get burned, or get in/out of the tub okay...what am I missing?
