I have a 1 year old son, and my boyfriend wants me to come live with him at his house. He owns his own house. My mom is a compulsive gambler and me and my son cannot stay there anymore because she keeps taking my money that I really can't afford. I live in wisconsin and I don't know if my boyfriend has to make a lease for me or not in order to get food share assistance and my child care assistance reduced. If I can't get this stuff I can't live with him. I need to know if anybody can help me out on this and tell me if you or anyone you know has done this before.

What do u think of caning? Its different from just a little slap on the plam or butt ok. Caning really hurts. What are the ways of spanking or disciplining kid in ur culture? dont tell me about reasoning with children alright, thats bullcrap. And non of those sex stuff too.

Our parenting styles are differnt..he is WAY to permissive and layed back about the things his children do ie listening to inappropriate music or being disrespectful. When it comes to my children (who are not perfect) he is quick to judge and point fingers. I am more strict and structured than he is and I'm trying to convince him to go to parenting classes....he is stand-offish about it. How do we handle this?

My 3 yr old son is very jealous of my 2 month old son and i have been trying to give him lots of attention, take him out to the park and chucky cheese...tell him his lil brother loves him..etc. but yet he is very jealous and will try to hit the baby or call him stupid..what should i dooo?

I am 38 Weeks Preg , I will soon have my be having my daughter.
I am concerned about vaccinations that contain mercury. I already have a relativly high level of mercury. My little brother turned completley and irreapareably Autistic after he finished his full first vaccinations.

So I desire to avoid mercury containing vaccinations ?
Has anyone else had any exsperince with them ?
I heard i need to sign a waiver to avoid the vaccination even before my daughter is born.

Any advice / Links ect would be much appreciated.

I am 38 Weeks Preg w/ my first baby , I have no clue on what to do with a baby , how they are , I have a wonderfull hub , who feels competent in caring for a baby , He is never home though. I n the otherhand have more of an idea of how to survive on a desserted island than how to raise a baby ?

How do you raise a baby / kid?
What do you do ?
Did you feel like this ?

What do I do

PS. I have no Parents or Family to look for and live in an area where I don;t know anyone.

I have 3 step children. I have been their step-mother since they we 18 month,18 months,and 4 months. They are now 6,6,5. They have called me mommy from the get go. I love them like they are my own and will not see it any other way. I have a friend who thinks it is wrong that they call me mommy. I do not try to replace their mother just be here to fill in the gaps when they are at my house or when she is not up to being their mommy. I love these children so much that I still get them even though my husband has been sent to Iraq. I feel that we still need to keep a strong family bond. I want the 2 children I gave birthed to know their sisters and brother and have a good relationship. The children up untill school thought all children had to mommys. They even call me mommy when they are around their other mom and Nana. So do you think that children should only have one mommy or is it ok for them to have two?

My kid has over 100 shirts and over 25 pants and over 20 shoes.
To me I dont care, but others think Im nuts.
I can afford everything I buy and I only pay cash, and YES education is already in place.
I dont see the problem, I know I am not the only mom out there who is this way, look at Gwen stefani,reese witherspoon or britney spears.

The mother and I were never married but had a son over 8 years ago. She married 5 years ago to a military guy. Recently she decided to move to Texas. Lied to me about that move as she trained my son to lie to me in order to move, stating that she was taking the family to a water park for a vacation. After the move she concealed his whereabouts until we found her with a PI. We are trying to gain custody of our son at a hearing before a juvenile court judge on November 3, 2006. I am trying to gain custody of my child as the father. How do I prepare for this hearing? I have never done anything like this in my life. What are the do's and don'ts ?? How
can I win as the father as I have heard it is impossible. I have a stable home. My wife is a RN, MSN (Family Nurse Practioner). We have 2 sons who are in school and have a beautiful home. I am a loving father to all my son's and spend a great deal of time with them. I am a pediatrician with much experience in family matters.

We too poor for bed and saving up for big screen tv to watch the tall black men play basketball. I am now a single mom. I work full time and care for my children the rest of the time but I really want to go back to college. Not just a community college. I married young and I feel that I missed out on a lot. I want to go to a four year college. I know a older woman who said that she lived on campus with your baby boy but that was like in the 70's...could this happen in this day and age. I have no support system so how would I pull this off.
