Hey all you parents out there. Are you tired, like I am, of people asking parenting questions and giving parenting advice that don't have children?

We just discovered the inside of the walk in closet and the door inside was all marked up by our 3 year old with a carelessly placed magic marker. He's a smart 3 year old, but I want to get it across to him that this is wrong. What would be a sufficient punishment for a little boy his age? I thought of taking a favorite toy a way for a week, but maybe that's too long? Any help is appreciated!

I was involved in a messy divorce - my X-wife and her husband moved made it impossible for me to visit our daughter. My X told me she changed our daughters last name- without my knowledge. I want to know if her husband has adopted her. I don't know what city they may have done it in. She won't tell me what city she lives in now. Where can I do a nation wide search for adoptions - so I'll know if she has been adopted?

My daughter who is 7 years old still wets bed. By now she is getting very self-conscious about this and is asking me to help her stop. Together she and I have tried all we can possibly think of. I have taken her to the doctor. (she is fine heath wise and they say it will just take time) We try not to drink anything 2 hours before bedtime. We even have every alarm in the house sat at different times so we can get up to go to the bathroom every few hours. But still, most mornings she is waking up wet!! I feel so badly for her as she wants to get control of this. She wants to be able to sleep away from home on occations without being embaressed ect. It kills me to see her want this so much and not be able to help her overcome it. Any suggestions???

MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN "DADDY" TO MY DAUGHTER SINCE SHE WAS 3 YEARS OLD. HER BIOLOGICAL FATHER AND I AGREED IT BEST FOR HIM TO TERMINATE HIS PARENTAL RIGHTS WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT A YEAR OLD - SO THAT SHE COULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO HAVE A REAL FATHER ONE DAY. SHE HAS NEVER MET HIM, BUT HE AND I HAVE REMAINED FRIENDS AND WE DISCUSS HER OFTEN. I HAVE NO HARD FEELINGS TOWARDS HIM AND I THANK HIM FOR GIVING HER TO ME.

HE HAS JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER AND GIVEN ONLY ONE YEAR TO LIVE. EVEN THOUGH SHE KNOWS THAT HER "DADDY" ISN'T HER BIOLOGICAL FATHER AND SHE NEVER ASKS QUESTIONS ABOUT THE OTHER ONE, I AM CONCERNED ON WHETHER OR NOT SHE SHOULD MEET HER BIOLOGICAL FATHER. I DON'T WANT TO MESS UP HER HEAD--SHE IS TOTALLY SETTLED AND HAPPY RIGHT NOW -- BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, I DON'T WANT HER TO LEARN THAT SHE HAD THE CHANCE TO MEET HIM BUT WAS DENIED THAT MEETING.

MY HUSBAND THINKS OF HER AS HIS AND DOESN'T THINK THAT ANYTHING GOOD COULD COME FROM A MEETING, BUT HE IS LETTING ME DECIDE.

I have a neighbor who's 3 year old has been caught doing things from hanging off their balcony on the second story of our 4plex apartment to throwing knives in the yard to running in the halls with no adult supervision for up to 45 minutes until one of us in the building gets sick of it and tell him to go back inside. His mom has openly told me and our neighbors that she takes medicine that makes her too tired to get out of bed and control him. Every time we confront her about her child she has some excuse from a "sleeping disorder" to telling us her child is too stubborn to control. It truly concerns me that she would tell us that she is physically unable to get out of bed. She even told me she left her son upstairs in their apartment in the shower by himself while she was downstairs on her cell phone! Our neighbors had to go up there one nite at 4 am to tell them to hush and the guy told them she was drunk and his buddy was high. I don't want to start something unless I am sure.
