Sorry, I didn't write the question clearly. I meant, what kind of problems? (for instance, bullying, lack of discipline, etc)
What do you think needs improvement in a child's wellbeing these days?

In my experience, it's a feeling of rejection. My dad left when I was 3 and my mum is on a planet of her own - when she remarried I felt very left out.

Consequently, rejection is my biggest fear and it's what deprived me of a lot of confidence and self-esteem. It's only now that I'm older that I'm starting to get my confidence.

I think a good heart and a good ear are what children need most. They need to know that they can tell you anything. And they also need to know that they are human beings that are loved.

I think kids need to know things when they are younger that are applicable to real life as opposed to academic..........such as:

Kids should be more informed about the dangers of strangers etc...both men and women and what to do if they find themselves in a situation. They should be given role plays etc to understand what thing could happen, obviously without scaring the kids.

We need to educate kids about life more!!

Kids should be given more teaching at younger ages on sexual health, STD, teen pregnancy etc. They should be taught the importance of their bodies and how they should respect them. They should realise the consequences of teen pregnancies and tear down some of the ideals these kids develop.

Children need to have a mother and father who are in a stable relationship and a mother who can look after her kids without packing them of to child minders etc. Unfortunately with the pressures of life and needing more money to provide the extras for the family, the wives are having increasingly to go out to work to help provide towards this fund.

i agree with Godess. parenting has changed drastically in the last years, and not all bad or good. parents need to find a balance between being open minded and permissive. children need guidance and good role models , but also to be taught independance relevant to their age.
