Hi Kat. Your hips may never go back as far together as they were. Mine never did. I had a single birth, lost the tummy in about 6 months. Then had a twin birth and still have a flabby tummy from the stretching (never will be flat again unless I have a tummy tuck) and my hips didn't go back to where they were. I am back to my origional weight, though.

It depends partly on genetics and your level of fitness before you got pregnant. I lost all but 5 lbs. of my pregnancy weight within the first 2-3 months after both babies, but I also breastfed (and still do) -- that REALLY helps you lose the baby weight. Your caloric needs are actually higher when you're breastfeeding than when you're pregnant because you're burning so many calories. It also triggers your hormones to contract your uterus back to its original size much faster than if you don't breastfeed.
I think I lost the last 5 pounds by the time my first baby was 4 months old. My son isn't quite 4 months old yet and I'm about back to normal.
My hips aren't completely back yet, but that's ok. My son had a difficult birth and I'm in physical therapy to help my hips get back in place. So that's not a normal scenario.

It takes about the same length of time as the pregnancy for you body to recover. It all depends on the person, their genetics and body type. However, your stomach may never be as firm as it was pre-baby nor will your hips be the same shape.
P.S. breastfeeding is the best was to get your tummy back!

Your body will be stretched to accomodate a body. Your hips will not be the same as prepregnant. You can lose the weight gained & have a firm stomach again. Please remember there are few women who look like they never had a baby right after they had a baby. Give yourself time to recover & recuperate from the birth then you can concentrate on getting back to what you are comfortable as a weight.

My hips never separated and I fit into my same jeans right after...a size 28.
My problem was I bled for 3 months straight, a it was thick blood.
I tore and it sucked majorly!
My stomach is actually better now than then for some reason and its flatter.
I only gained about 10 pounds of fat, minus the baby who weighed in a 9 p[ounds.
The weight came off easy, but then I am five ten.

All people are differant, with my first, the birth was fine. I started breastfeeding right away and my stomach shrank really fast, because when you breastfeed you uterus contracts faster so once that happens, Im sure your hips will move back. Some hips stay where the are after birth.

Your whole body changes. Some people snap back and some dont. Your hips will never go completely back to what they were and your stomach might or might not.

All depends, stay active, your body will never 100% go back to the way it was before you had a baby, but you definitely can shape it up by exercising

After birth, it takes your body a minimum of 1 year to get back to normal, but if you want it quicker, then i suggest breast feeding, it gets rid of your body fat faster...No, i dont think your stomach is as firm, b/c it has been stretched to its max, if i was u, then i would do alot of crunches/sit ups...Good Luck...!
