I teach an after school piano program for grades 1-4 in one class and grades 5-8 in two others. They need to journal at the beginning of class, we take 15 minutes. Journal topics don't always have to relate to music but I like to keep it in that area as much as possible. Ideas need to be age appropriate and comply with public school rules. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!!! I really like creative ideas, so do the students!!

My daughter is 14(will be 15 in Feb) and likes this boy that is 16. She is a very beautiful mature looking 14. I told her she isnt aloud to date but the boy can come over with supervision and I talked to the boys parents(fathers a preacher) and told them my feelings and that they werent to be together un-supervised and to explain to him that it going to be hard to "date" my daughter because she's not aloud to go out on dates. He has a truck and if they go to the movies I take her and pick her up. I do like the boy they see each other at school, talk on phone and see each other at shool funtions. I find this letter he asks when they are going to have sex. Says he respects that she wants to wait but he is wanting to be her first and its pretty explecit on the things he wants to try-5 pages of I love you - you are the one-I want to make love to you-and go down on u..made me sick
She told him not going to happen-says he is fine with it. I'm still not! Should I just trust her and let it go?

Hubby and I have been TTC since last December. We cannot wait to have children. Sometimes I sit and daydream about what it'll be like to be a parent. How does it change you and your life? Is it really the toughest job you'll ever love?

my children are just about 8 yrs apart...my 8 and a half . year old daughter and a 8 month old son. I would not have it any other way!!! I am able to spend more quality time with my daughter and then when she goes out, talk on the phone, I spend quality time with him. I am hardly pulled in different directions. All my friends who have kids close in age are going absoulety nuts and envy me. They are close..even though they are so spaced apart...she takes care of her brother. It's great. He did go through a fussy period for a few months and cuz i did not have a toddler and an older child instead, she understood why i could not tend to her every need and did the things herself. Do other people have their kids spaced apart?

every night at 10pm i tell me daughter to come home so i can feed her a birth control pill... ive had problems in the past with girls lying about birth control, so im not going to let my daughter become one of those hussies.

last night she came home at midnight and refused to let me feed her the pill!

im worried that she might have gotten pregnant while she was out for those extra 2 hours, and now she doesnt want me to kill the baby with the pill.

We were out in the woods recently and we were out for a while. Eventually, the kids needed to pee. Well my girls told me no when I asked them if they wanted to pee behind a bush, but my son jumped at the idea, so he ran over to the nearest tree and went. The girl waited for over an hour until I could get them to a bathroom.

1. Every time a student goes for treatment in the school nurses office, the nurses have to make a written report of the injuries and what or who cause the injuries? If so, who gets that report?

2. If the injuries where caused by someone on purpose, do you have to inform the police(just like Doctors), or that responsibility goes to the Principal, or there is no need to inform the authorities?

Thank you.

Have you ever just felt like taking your kids to school, daycare, the babysitter.. or where ever they go and just leaving and never coming back? I'm not asking if you WOULD do it, I'm just asking if you've ever felt like it.

I live in the UK. If I want to adopt a child (possibly from abroad) but don't want to go through social services, is there any way to arrange a private adoption, or an agency which deals with adoptions without doing the home study or other tests of a couple?

I have tried to find out if anything is wrong at school but there was nothing to worry about. The only problem I found that he is very shy at school even though he is just the opposite at home.

Although for example, some teenagers are very much in love wen they r about or already have a child or they are not in love. But is it wise to have a child at a young age (15 - 19 years old)?? Tell me what u think becoz i think that it is not a wise idea to have a baby at such a young age! I don't mean to offend anyone out there who had or about to have a child between this age group.

My daughter has just turned a year old and now people are pushing me to stop breastfeeding. I am now back to work and I pull 12 hour shifts, but my daughter does very well at home when I'm at work. She will drink homogenized milk in a sippy cup (will not take a bottle) and enjoys all different types of foods. When I am home however, she like to also have breast milk.
I have been told I should deny her (by my L&D collegues no less) but I think she will eventually lose interest.....any thoughts or suggestions??
