After an eye examination my 22 month old has to start wearing glasses to correct his long sightedness. How can I get him to wear these all day every day? Is there anyone out there been through this before? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try to make a game out if wearing them or have him think they have super special powers. If he has a favorite stuffed animal, buy a plastic play pair of glasses and have his animal wear glasses too. Not too sure what else to suggest... but good luck!

All you can do is keep trying until he's used to them. They're different and strange and he's not going to want to have something on his face that he doesn't know what it's for. Just be persistent. If he takes them off, put them back on.. everytime you have to put them back on him, explain to him (even though he's not going to understand it) that he has to wear them and you're not discussing it. Pretty soon, he'll understand that they must stay on, and they'll become a part of him like anything else.

since he's not even 2 yet, i'm sure that they have some kind of dorky strap you can put on his glasses until he gets used to them. i had to start wearing glasses when i was 3, and i remember that my cousin also had to start wearing them young, and he had that strap...lol.
but ifit works, then it's ok.
