Take him to a speech therapist hon. It means his little brain is moving faster than his mouth and he's having a difficult time catching up. The speech therapist will help him slow down and begin proper speech again. Take care.

2 of mine stuttered, David did it when he was excited and my 3 year old does it on and off, don't call attention to it, just listen and wait patiently for him to finish what he's saying and don't finish his sentences for him either, let him, he'll work through it. He may or may not grow out of it. Don't worry, if not he can have a speech therapist! Some say it's emotional, I really don't know, I think many things can cause it, not just one thing.
