Yes, I know I should have never started this, but, I did. I have been sitting beside her and holding her hand until she falls asleep -always. She has gotten better, she usually falls asleep now within 10 min. But I want to stop. She is three and a half almost, and I have her second sibling on the way. I do not stay with her brother until he falls asleep, I have learned my lesson. I really don't mind it, but I know she is getting too old for it, and with the new baby on the way, well, I might be harder to keep doing. She cries when I tell her that she needs to go to sleep by herself. Not just fit cries, ( I can deal with those and let her scream), but honest to goodness "I'm scared to go to sleep by myself" cries. Tonight she told me in between sobs that she was sorry she is scared. What a heartbreak! I told her she doesn't have to be sorry for being scared. What can I do besides pray that will help her not be scared and go to sleep on her own? She already has a nightlight.

My first baby was born vaginally, and I tore because he was like 9 pounds and it was a bad tear! I bled for 3 months straight afterwards, had to stitches and it sucked.
I was wondering if I ever had anymore kids if it is a better idea to go with a c section?

He does stand to urinate, but whenever he has to sit for a poop, he refuses to sit unless he can cover the seat with toilet paper.

What should I do?

Okay I'm a fairly easy going mum, I do however set rules and I make my children do chores ... my kids are 11,9 and 8.

But my Eldest and Youngest have a HUGE problem with being told what to do, or being given punishments, yep mostly normal of no I'm not doing it, what you gonna do about it etc.

Now I think I am probably the problem becuae they do not do this to my husband, but I kinda feel they control me rather than vice versa.

Example .. my eldest has a huge temper problem, and recently severed his tendons in his wrist because he punched a glass door in temper .. now I have tried everything, I have social services involved to try and help him, I have a youth program involved to try and help him, I set him rules, I give him punishments, usually grounding (doesn't work) or removing items from his room, but he isn't bothered about anything at all.

anyone else going through similar and can give some suggestions?

I am a young mother of 5 year old boy and girl twins, Josh and Kylie, and 13 month old Brandon. The problems started when the twins were born. Kylie was born small, and there for she was sick a lot. When she would get sick she cried uncontrolably, My husband and I held her to comfort her. This ment less time we spent with Josh. As she grew, Kylie developed severe seperation anxiety and began to cling to me all the time. When the twins began school, we got them into after school activites, Kylie takes dance, and Josh is involved in sports. At practice, Josh's coach asks for parents to get involved. I tried but because Kylie would not stop clinging, it was nearily impossible. She refuses to stay with a sitter or with any family member. It has gotton worse since Brandon was born. She reverted back to baby like behaviors, thus demanding more of my husbands and my time and attention. Add that with the typical demands of raisng an infant. This has made Josh feel very left out.

I was in school with my friend, we where talking about boys, then she told me that her brother asked her things about me because he likes me, and that he wants to meet me, but then she laughed and told me that he must masturbate thinking about me because he thinks I am hot too, and that made me MAD, the pervert!!!
I saw him in the lunch line, walked to him and asked him, he said nothing just blushed, that was a yes to me so I kicked him in the balls, he made this surprised face then slowly doubled over to his knees and then fell to the side and turned pale. All the girls cheered and laughed at him, the boys just stared. I bet he will not do it again, serves him right.
The next day she told me that he needed to go to the ER that night, and that he is taking some pills. Oh well, that’s not my problem, he had that coming.
Now when his friends look at me they seemed to be angry, what the hell is wrong with them, maybe they need a good kick too?

I am interested in adopting an older child, 5-7 yrs old, and wondered how the concept of homeschooling might look to an adoption agency - favorable? With two at-home parents to spend lots of individualized time with a child, we thought it might be best and could side-step some common school-room problems of telling a teacher the child was adopted, or having the kid come home crying because she has to do a family tree project....I live in a small town and have moved here, so I don't have the social ties and no one is discreet. The public schools are horrid - there is a known drug PROBLEM with known drug DEALERS in K-2 school building, I've known of a middle school girl who was gang raped behind the bleachers supposedly with teacher supervision and they wouldn't even let her call her parents, or call the cops....not a good place for a healthy start. There are private schools, but if you aren't in the "click" then your child doesn't get fair treatment....

Help me I live on a farm out of town. My parents never take me to into town or to the beach. And i have nothing to do and I’m lonely because I can never see my friends outside of school the only way I can keep in contact is Msn. They do the same thing to my siblings. And then we have this other house in this estate thing which is even further out of town with no mobile reception and no internet. And there is no one there my age! And my mum is severely unsocial she has hardly any friends, and she drinks allot, and she sneaks smokes and my dad doesn’t know. And I’m afraid that my siblings will develop social problems because my brother plays severely violent army playstation games and the other day he threatened to blow my other brothers head off. They are in primary school & I can see that problems are arising in there learning and social situations. I really want us as a family to work it out. But she won’t listen and just screams at me to leave the room

This is a really silly question but I was wondering if people really put thier kids over thier knees when they spank them? I was never spanked as a child so I don't know. Were you spanked that way? Do you spank your kids that way? Or is that just how they do it in movies and cartoons?

I have noticed alot of people look down on single moms, which I think is stupid, singles moms get more **** than the dads who left their kids or dont pay any childsupport.

moms, I'm a mom myself and I bought this thing to iron onto my two girls shirts. I did it according to the instruction and when I peeled it off, only part of it sticked to the shirt and the other half didn't. I wanted to try it a gain, my question is how do I get the part that sticked to the shirt to come off. It's really hard to take off, I don't know what to do.

if you had to giv your 14 year old son a magazine, which of these two[types] would you rate worst and not give him[remember its just a q you have to anwer which you would rathr your 14 year old son having]
A: 'Lads Mags'' such as FHM,Nuts,Maxim,Loaded,ZOO,they all print semi nudity[just breasts,no gentials]
B:Playboy[full nudity,but softcore]

my argument is that a is worse,as these magaines just objectife women ,while playboy [most of the time] glorises them.
what you guys think?

My viewpoint is, if you want to land a rich husband, you're going to have to be willing to blow a lot of chunks (and a lof of other things, if you know what I mean). It's what guys want.

Like, for example, a bad scout leader or coach, too many rules or fundraisers. Maybe a problem with one of the other kids or parents involved in the activity. What happened?
