This is very typical after delivery, so don't worry! I have known new mothers who still have this problem MONTHS after giving birth (not to scare you or anything!) Because of the baby taking up so much space, your bladder gets pushed around and scrunched up - one of the reasons that you have to pee so much during pregnancy. Then, after delivery, it gets back to it's normal position, but the actual delivery doesn't help it much. It's very normal to "leak" for a while, so I wouldn't worry too much. If you're still having problems in a few weeks, or you're worried about it...see your doctor. I believe there's something that they can do to help. Also, I've heard kegel exercises really help to strengthen the bladder and get it back to normal. Good luck and congrats on the new baby!

Please let your DR. know, you muscles are very weak and you need to strengthen them again, there is an exercise called Kegle (not sure how to spell) but what you do is when you do go to the bathroom, you squeeze and try to hold it You will like pee a little then try to stop it, this helps those muscles to rebuild themselves. I have had 2 children and your stuff is never the same though, I wear a panty liner every day now and that has been 12 years. Sorry for that part of the bad news, but do let your DR know. Good Luck.

see your doctor my mom had to have a bladder surgery after my brothers birth they said her bladder was slipped out of place needed to be tacked back up she had that problem even a year after his birth. It's not a normal thing I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my 3rd i never had a bladder issue after vaginal delivery. My moms doc said the problem is more common in women with many kids or kids VERY close in age. SOME leakage could be common in the early weeks after 6 to 8 weeks it should really be totally GONE.

It could just be that your muscles haven't fully regained their strength yet. Are you just leaking a little, like if you cough or sneeze or laugh? That is sometimes normal with vaginal births. You can help strengthen them by doing Kegel exercises.
If it's more, like your entire bladder is emptying without warning, go see your doctor. You might have injured yourself during labor and you need to be checked out.

This is very normal, all your uterine musles were just streached and twisted etc. Try doing keegle excersises. Contract & hold your keegles, it is as if you stop your urine flow, that is what you need to do, try doing about 100 a day it is so easy. Just don't actually do them while peeing it can mess you up, but you can try it a few times to get a feel for the musle.

The only thing that would put your mind at ease is to see a OB/GYN or midwife.

Go on the WebMD, and ask if this is 'common'. Or call your physician's assistant. She probably will be happy to answer you questions....
