I was with my 15 year old daughter when she died of cancer three years ago. We are not only never prepared for death, but we cannot possibly be prepared for what PHYSICALLY happens when the human body dies. It is horrifying, but it is a part of life. It is just so tragic when it is a child. A wise woman told me years ago that everyone comes into a person's life for a reason, whether it is for a lifetime or just a short time. They come to learn and they come to teach. She was right. This child taught me and many others what true grace looks like.
I am sorry for anyone who sees a child die. It never makes sense.

I agree with imani. She is right. Death happens. When i was a youngster, I had a freind whose name was Margaret. She had that malady that aged the human body at an acclerated rate. She could have had a child at age 3. At Age 7 she went through menopause. At age 11 She died and an autopsy revealed that her internal organs were that of a 90 year old women.

Talk about a tragedy.

Recently, I have no idea why, I have been thinking alot about her.

Death happens, and while it's always tragic.. it's as much a part of life as anything else. Those children are in a better place. A place where they will feel no pain, no hunger, no hate and no cold.. they are in a place where they will be loved. A child's death is most tragic of all, but throught the sadness, it should be remembered that where they are, they are happier than they ever would be on this miserable earth.
