Which is easier...raising a boy or raising a girl? I know all kids are different and have different personalities but in your experience what do you think. A lot of people tell me its easier to raise a son. What's your opinion and experience?

She will only sit on it with her diaper, when you take it off she goes crazy hanging on to me. But she sits her baby dolls on it and sits on it when I go, but only with a diaper on.

He will peep in the toliet, if you stay asking every so often, and somedays he does will be himself but when it comes to the poopin he won't do it, if you ask him he says no so I put him on the toliet anyways he will sit there for a couple min. but never do anything, and as soon as he gets off he goes hide in a corner and does it, so any helpful and useful hints would be really nice :)

both my man & i work 40 hours a week, i make $12.00 an hour, my man makes $9.25, between the 2 of us i dont think that we make alot of money. we make it but we are NOT living lavishly. im 10 weeks preg and i have looked into Wic and help with paying for child care when i go back to work, apparently we make too much money to qualify for either aide. what is a hard working couple like us supposed to do? should we both quit our jobs and look for a shitty job that would allow us to qualify for gov aide? that is just stupid! but seriously what are we to do? it seems like the only people that can get any help are the ones that dont aspire to be anything, or to do anything more with their lives, that dont have good jobs, maybe thats why soo many people stay in low paying jobs so that they can get the help to feed their kids or to pay for child care. it seems like the gov gives too much help to ppl that abuse the system, and not enough to everyone else. any advise on what we could do for help?

I have a three year old and a baby due in 3 weeks. People constantly buy my kids stuffed animals and those toys seem to be taking over my house. I'd swear that where there was only two stuffed bears yesterday, this morning there are at least six. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what are you doing to prevent the stuffed animal takeover?

I'm a single father with a 17 year old crippled son who's stuck in a wheelchair. I don't want him to call me "Dad" while we're out. It's hard enough to find women willing to date a single father, but NO woman wants to date a man who fathered a broken child. I read that one thing women look for in a man is good "stock" for breeding and he makes me look bad although his condition isn't even my fault. It's my fault, but not genetically.

Other things to take into affect when answering is...I watch her at my house. Most of the times she is dropped of at 8:30, but sometimes she is dropped off at 7:00 and she very rarely gets picked up before 6. I take her places like the zoo and it will be more places when Ocotber hits and they do not pay me for outings like this. Her mother has also decided to use cloth diapers this is not something that would be accepted in the day care. So I go along with that and it is really nasty. I feed her breakfast, lunch, snacks twice a day, and most of the time dinner. They do not give me extra for this. I feel as though I am being extremely taken advantage of and wanted to get other peoples opinon on how much I should be charging them. Oh and I have a 4 year old daughter of my own and alot of the attention is taken away from her and given to the little girl that I watch she is a very demanding child. Thanks!

Do you think it ok for a child to wear the same clothes (school uniform) all week with out it being washed?

The reason I ask is when I was at school (13 years ago) it was ok for us to wear the same clothes all week.
For my son (7) he has a clean uniform every day.

and i dont know how to deal with it., it is an ongoing problem that is getting out of hand, it is really only one child who is leading the bullying by getting the others to taunt my kids and generally leaving my kids out of any games that they are playing, i am at absolute boiling point so much so i wana go round and smack the mother one, i know this isnt the ideal way to deal with it but thats how its making me feel, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

He says only very basic things like look, whats that, kitty, teddy, thirsty, but he doesn't say mommy or daddy. He really only babbles a lot. Should I be worried? He does a lot of other things, his potty training is going well again, he brushes his teeth and washes his hands, he eats with a fork and spoon also. But what can I do to help him start talking?

His school timing is 9 am to 3 pm. We tried the local kids cab service and they are full and checked with the school, if we could request other parents and it is not working. Our work schedules are too demanding time wise and hence we ourselves cannot pick and drop him. Any ideas.

I know every kid is different but on average. One of my coworkers got all self ritious on me and said that her daughter was potty trained at 12 months old and there was no reason my daughter wasn't. I have tried to start training her but she has not responded well so I don't want to push her too much. She is 2 1/2.

I am 18 and with little or no social life or even contact. My parents never let me do anything in high school like going to the mall exc. or movies with friends. I am not kidding i only ever saw my friends at school and a bf was out of the question. I made a few attempts but at 17 they were still asking to meet my friends parents and giving my friends the 5th degree so most did not even want to visit me. My dads motto was school is not for socializing. Senior year i barley was allowed to go to homecoming but i did meet a bf there and well messed things up badly with a pregnancy scare drama which led to complete isolation. I was never a bad kid and always kept good grades and never snuck out or did anything. I am now in my first year of college doing well so far but feel out of place socially. I only really have three friends two are still in highschool and i feel lost and angry with my parents.

Honestly, why do people think they can walk up to any parent with a baby and act like they've known the family for years? They start touching the baby's cheeks and talking to it like they're an old family friend. I'd be so mad if I had a baby and strangers started touching it...
