I'm a single father with a 17 year old crippled son who's stuck in a wheelchair. I don't want him to call me "Dad" while we're out. It's hard enough to find women willing to date a single father, but NO woman wants to date a man who fathered a broken child. I read that one thing women look for in a man is good "stock" for breeding and he makes me look bad although his condition isn't even my fault. It's my fault, but not genetically.

Ok, it's not your fault genetically, but it's your fault???? What did you do to your child to make him this way then??? Did you drop him on his head or shake him when he was a baby, crash the car he was riding in while you were drunk, or maybe you gave him drugs so he would fall asleep so you could shoot up and screw around with some crack wh*re you met on the streets.
You try being STUCK IN A WHEELCHAIR becuase of something your father did to you and see how you like it. You're not a dad, you're a sperm donor. Someone should track you down and "break" a few of your legs, starting with the shortest one in the middle. You have no right to ever breed again.

You should be happy he is even alive cause there are some children who have a condition where they cannot go out with there family or they die when their first born. Even if he did stop calling you Dad whomever you got to date you would eventually find out about your son anyways and then decide to dump you because you tried to keep it secret...any real woman wouldn't want a man who is ashamed to have his own son call him dad in fear he won't get a piece of tail. There are plenty of women out there that would admire the fact you are taking care of your crippled son and want to be with someone who is a genuinely a nice guy. You have to begin with actually being one. You need to change your thoughts and really start to love your son the way he deserves to be loved. Do you think he chose to be STUCK in a wheel chair? If anyone gets stuck here it's your son, who has a looser for a dad. Its not that you dont deserve your son, it's that your son doesnt deserve you as a dad. Maybe he should call you " sperm donor " instead of dad. Are you the same person who was asking about something you ingested yourself, which was intitally intended for your son, and worried that it would hurt you? This is a horrible thing to do. Your child loves you. I think the main problem with you not finding a woman is that you're a horrible father. Women find someone who treats their children with love and care extremely attractive, and a lot of them would respect someone who cares for a disabled child well. Quit loading the blame on your son when it's obviously you with the personality flaws driving people away.
