You are so funny and having a sense of humor helps. But, yes, they do multiply quickly. My kids ended up with 20+ a piece!!! So you buy the corner net thingy and hold them in there, or you pack up some and switch them every few months or you decide which ones do not make you crazy and donate the rest. Believe me they will take over your life. At one point, I was doing a whole load in the washer of bears and stuffties and I did not know how I got to that point. Did I not have enough laundry without washing bears too??? But they are cute. My daughter used to line them up on her bed and pretend she was the bus driver that was driving all these little ones to school. Both my kids slept with stuffties until they were 8 or 9. They finally cleared them all out at age 13. They were just dust collectors at that time. Now, I have a bear collection. Am I crazy????

We have the same problem. At least once a year we clean out the kids toys and give them to charities. The stuffed animals (we usually have 3 or 4 bags) I take to a local women's shelter. The kids come with me and give the toys to the children there, we also donate clothes.

yes it seemed all my kids got were stuffed animals so on the birthday cards i litteraly started putting NO STUFFED ANIMALS PLEASE!! i also used the excuse that stuffed animals bring extra dust mites and allergins into your home you just dont want. We litteraly had 118 and i made my 4 and 2 year old pick out 10 they wanted and we washed and sent the others to the goodwill. They felt good giving their toys to the less needy and it was much less a clutter. But really just tell people PLEASE no more. they really wont mind. plus it will save there money. Also if your kids keep gettng mass toys for holidays and things. Tell people how youd really rather have savings bonds instead. You wont miss the toys plus they get a life time investment and the kids wont know any better as long as they get a few toys to open.

I think stuffed animals are the bane of every parents toy management experience. I think they breed under the bed. Twice a year my daughter and I go through her toys. The stuffies with no significant "have to keep it" attachments get donated to the sheriff's department.
The Officers give them to children at the scene of their calls whether it be a domestic situation or a car accident. It helps the officers develop a repore with the children and makes the children a little less scared in a scary situation.

They breed, dont they? I made an Amazon wishlist for each of my kids just so people could get other gift ideas and QUIT buying more stuffed animals!!
I went to Good will and bought some vintage pink drapes that matched my twins' bedroom and made them into hammocks. Hung them on the wall & put all the animals they dont sleep with up there. At least got the damn things off of the floor -

My son and I go through his stuffed animals, toys, books, clothing, etc. twice a year and decide which items he really wants to keep, which ones we take to an orphanage in Mexico, and which ones are for the trash. I don't know where you live but my son loves to go to Mexico to bring other kids some happiness. If you are not near Mexico, find a shelter that would love the donations. It's a good learning lesson in helping others!

I think there is a law that says all kids are suppose to get stuffed animals everything holiday starting at birth. I let my 3 children go through and pick their favorites and we donate the rest. This also makes them feel good about themselves because they are giving their stuffed animals to children who do not have any.

When i had my son stuffed animals did take over my house. I didnt have the heart to give them away or throw them out, so i just bought somthing to hang in his closet and in the closet they went. That way they are out of the way and the 95 stuffed animals he has are hidden.

Oh man..yeah we need like a lottery winning ticket to buy a mansion just for the stuffed animals. my husband is addicted to the boardwalk games and claw machines, so of course he makes the situation worse. LOL.

I hate stuffed animals! I wish people would stop buying them for us.
If you want to get rid of them, buy those vaccuum seal bags, the extra large ones, put them inside the bag, suck out all the air with your vaccuum and stuff them up in the attic. That's what we did.
I only keep a few of my daughters ones around that she likes to play with.
