Okay , i have a 3 year old and 21 month old (both girls), i understand the screaming if they are playing outside chasing one another as long as they are playing nice, but i can't handle them running through the house sreaming on the top of their lungs anymore. I have spanked them, popped them in the mouth(only with my first 2 fingers and not hard), and stood them in the corners, and sat them in time out and they just keep on doing it. My sister in law alows her two boys to scream all the time and never gets on to them, but i can't handle it. I hate to spank my kids or pop them in the mouth or anything like that but my kids get disipline anytime they miss behave. When we are in a public place i don't leave because they are screaming i take them to the restroom and spank them everytime they start the screaming. Can someone give me some advice on what else i can do? Or is there someone that has or is going through this. I am a stay at home mom but i can't handle the screaming any longer.

I am concerned how a divorce will effect my 3 year old daughter? My marriage is failing i am 21 years old i got married at 18 when i got pregnant with my daughter. I am starting to resent my husband and cant shake it are fights have gotten so bad he now pushes and shoves me. We have gone to therapy but it seemed to make things worse. He hates the fact that he went to work and my parents paid for me to go to college. When we fight i feel like it was when we ere in middle school. I am begining to question if we ever lover each other. My husband feels i ruined his life by having our daughter. Should i file for divorce? my husband barley nows his own daughter? Also afraid if we divorce she will never see him?

In a world like today, why do parents or guardians have such a hard time explaining sex to their children. Isnt it better to have them know the facts then "the birds and bees" BS story from the 70's?

I was answering a question a minute ago and I read that it is illegal in some states for your children to share a room. Is this true? My kids have been sharing a room for a while and I have never heard this. WE live in Greenville SC Is this true? My daughter is 5 and my boys are 3 and 2. What do you think?

With child abuse as this weeks issue in the news and papers, what are the boundries, and fine lines before it is actually considered abuse, or just an excusable mistake?

The only way for parents to learn is to learn by mistakes. But how can we define the line between what is a mistake and what is abuse?

Would it be better to raise kids in a smaller town where all there is are houses and farms and the closest store is a 20 minute drive, although there is a church, park, post office in the town. They would be living in a newly built house on around 3-5 acres of land and possibly have horses, cows, and other animals. They would have to ride the bus to school from kindergarten and up. Or would it be better to live in a bigger town with every kind of amenity you could want within walking/biking distance. But the house would be older and smaller with only a .25 to 1 acre of land. They probably couldn't have horses or other large animals. But they would be able to walk/bike to school and be able to do more extra-curricular activites.

im watching a programme about parents that smack and that they are proud of it one woman does it after 2 warnings but doesnt smack with her hand but with a spatula etc. I think that it is a disgrace on a parent to smack as they are only children and are innocent and sometimes do not understand. i think smacking makes the situation a whole lot worse.

I am 18 yrs old very shy as a person nice to everone , always trying to be friendly, and quiet unless i now you. I dont think at 110 pounds and 5 ft 5 or 5ft 6 that i am short or fat. My face is clear i dont get pimples that much anymore. I wear very little makeup and make sure my hair is always neat and dresses neatly too. So i dont think i am ugly but i always attract guys that treat me like property and are possesive/controling/manipulat... Is it me? My parent are also very controling so i dont need a guy like this. And i try to give everyone a chance.

She started a new day care 3 weeks ago, she has already gotten a cold (that was last week) and a bad cough. This week we took her back to the Dr. because she was coughing constantly Sunday. It turns out that she is at the early stages of an ear infection and they went ahead and gave her a chest x-ray since she's been coughing for over a week. The Dr. called me the next day and told us that she a minor case of Bronchitus!!!!!!!!!! We're giving her a prescribed cough medicine and an antibiotic, but now I really want to give her vitamins to strengthen her immune system but I have no idea which would be a good one...

Am i the only one who has a fussy and very demanding 7 month old son?? If you do, explain what he/ she does? my son cries even if all of his needs have been met, he is only happy for 10-15 minutes at a time. Thankfully, i get rest when he sleeps, he is defintely a great sleeper but when he is up, he is crying every 15 minutes or so for no reason. my doctor even confirmed he is just a demanding baby. my daughter is 8 and as an infant, she was excellent, never gave me a problem.
