Step child lives w/step mom & her father since last year. S.M. has no bio kids/1st marriage. Bio mom speaks no English, lives in another country but requested father to kid till 2009. SC also wanted to come live with father/SM "for a few years". Example pf problem: S.C. agrees to not ask for toys/treats if she wants 2 go 2 drug store with you. 3 minutes in, she's asking. U both remind her of agreement. For next 3+ hours anything U / husband says to her is met with icy silence. SM is w/her more and gets the worst of it. SM asks SC, "Where is the document your teacher gave U for lunch?" and gets ignored. SM may say, "OK, Its 9:45 PM & time for bed." Silence & no movement. Unless SM has something SC wants (a DVD/pizza/etc) this can last until the next AM! Father works 90+ hr wkly & sometimes tells S.C. to stop but is NOT CONSISTANT (One day he tolerates it, next day her lectures her about the same thing) Additionally he's said 100Xs "no counseling!". How would U handle these behaviors?

She isn't a bad mother. She didn't use to be. Now all she does is sit on Yahoo Answers berating people. And she is always holding a rose and smelling it and burning a charcoal grill and smelling the fumes. She doesn't even cook on it.

You know that game where you try to knock a walnut out of someone's mouth, and the first one to do it is the winner? I was playing that with my 17 year old son and 5 year old daughter and we had an accident. My wife doesn't like when I play this game because she says it's too rough. I need for her to believe that the tooth could have come out on its own.

Give me a break. It takes two to make a child. Either wrap it up, or don't have sex. You create a child, you support it and love it for the rest of your life. Don't go prancing around thinking you don't have to just because she lied to you. Get a medical report stating she's sterile. Don't take her word for it and don't come in here looking for ways to get out of your responsibilities for your actions.

I'm done ranting. You don't even have to answer this.

In a small rural community where they have no opportunities for a good job or a decent education, but are known and loved in the community. Or a larger town, where there will be opportunities, better schools, but they will be lost in the crowd.

If a child (16) has been sexual harassed at her work place. She has gone to HR filed a complaint, and investigation insued and the offender has been fired, and this happened months ago, why do we (parents) only hear about it when she finally tells us? Do we have a legal right to employment records? Because she is a minor, cant we file criminal charges against the individual? Why were we not informed. She said she signed an affidavit and everything but wouldnt we have to counter signe since she is a minor?

Do you think its a good reason for a mother to start crying and the dad to try and storm off on his fathers birthday because his son could not play with a fridging gamecube????He was not allowed to play with the game cube for a week because he broke an aztec statue that was of sentimental value. He was repeatally told to stop messing around with it!

I have recently taken custody of my neice. We normally used to only see her maybe 6-8 times a year since she lived so far. Anyways I have a 9 year old girl and 6 year old boy. They seem to be jelouse of her, even though I show her the same affections and my own children. They do horrible things to each other and yell and scream every day. Got any suggestions........

My mother is a teacher, and she told me that she has a student that turned 15 and is in the seventh grade. So far, it seems like the school hasn't done anything. In this situation, shouldn't they move the child up to a higher grade, or at the very least, place them in the appropriate courses in order to save the child further embaressment, trauma, AND to prevent them from getting further behind? As a parent, if your child were at this point, what could you possibly do to help them get ahead and in the grade they belong? 15 is around the age of a high school freshman. She always talks about her students and nothing really shocks me anymore, but this sure did....it's honestly very sad.
